The play off for 5th Wests Magpies v Bulldogs 1991

Biggest memory of this game was being sick as a dog and trying to find a radio station to listen to it between technicolour yawns :laughing:

Cant even remember the scoreline , I think we won by 2 ??

That's my favourite game of the Magpies years. David Gillespie scored a try with a big step near the line, and Taylor had a good game, booting goals from everywhere.

They're rotating a whole bunch of "classic games" from the 90s and 2000s. Even saw Wests v Gold Coast Seagulls plus extremely rare footage of the Wests Tigers from 1996 according to my fox online guide. Anyway they're rotating them through the week in the absence of NRL games from last weekend.

In 1991 we pulled some players from the scrap heap that went pretty well

Ron Gibbs ,Tony Rampling ,Ivan Henjak and Graeme Wynn had not played good footy for 2-3 years in some cases

Amazing what some solid professional hard heads can do (hint hint )
