Saw a good analogy on social media - said Gallen was swinging punches like a blind man trying to fight off bees.

That's literally spot on. There was nothing technical about his approach, it was all swing enough and one will eventually hit the mark. I'm not convinced any actually really hit the mark either which suggests something else altogether.

Multiple punches def hit...you can see them land cleanly on replay. It was a legit KO.

Gallen is a 'thrasher'...he basically stands toe to toe and swings wildly. Not a lot of real boxers will do that as you take too much punishment. Mark Hunt badly hurt him, but was too busy showboating to put him away. At some point Gallen will get very badly knocked out, but that is the price you pay for his style.

I'm a very casual boxing fan, so can someone please explain this fight to me?

To my untrained eyes, both fighters looked extremely unskilled and would likely end up in a coffin if they went up against someone like Tyson Fury.

Or is this like comparing the NRL with a local A grade match?

Wonder if he’d have the balls to get in the ring with Tyson

Tyson now is completely different to Tyson in his prime. I heard his last fight was embarrassing.

Wilder? You're kidding right?

He's beaten everyone he's come up against. He would blitz Gallen.

I think he means Mike Tyson.

Whoopsie doodle, I thought they meant Fury...

He fought Roy Jones Jnr. I have a mate who is a MMA/boxing fighter and he said it was terrible.

Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the world and an all time great...

So, yes of course he would beat both of them.

But that is like saying the current Tigers team would lose if we played an all time great QLD Origin team.

Neither will ever get close to a fight v Fury...but that does not mean they are bad. There are lots of lots and lots of fighters and he is the best of the best.

Yeah I watched the highlights (lowlights) again and fair call a few did land. I feel if he were to fight Huni he'd get found out.

100%, been real impressed with him so far.

More importantly how did the best up and coming boxer in Australia go ...Liam Wilson ??

That was the best fight IMO. His fight against Chua was a war.

Huni would KO Gal in under 30 seconds imo.

He struggled tbh. I would like to see Wilson vs. Jarvis as a bit of an unofficial Aussie prospect matchup and then the winner can go on with it overseas. I think Jarvis would tool him even though he's undersized.
