George Foreman

Passed away overnight. My favourite boxer of all time and a hero of mine. Olympic gold medalist, heavyweight champion in the 70s and 90s. There’s a lot of focus on the Rumble in the Jungle and his loss to Ali but that sometimes detracts from what a dominant, awesome fighter he was particular in his first career. Check out his first fight with Frazier or Ken Norton. If that wasn’t enough he comes back close and wins the title again in his 40s.

One of my favourite boxers,R.I.P George Foreman. He was one of the few boxers that made boxing popular and enjoyable to watch.Another legend sadly gone to early. To this day i still regret that Teofilo Stephenson (deceased) never switched to professional boxing as he was the only boxer that could have matched Ali Foreman and Frazier.

One of my boyhood heroes. He could really move for a big big man. Those heavyweight fighters of that era were unsurpassed. Ali, Forman, Frazier, and I'll include Ken Norton. That was back in the day when boxers were real boxers. Not retired League players looking for a last payday, or promoters trying to cash in on an ex NRL players popularity. These guys were born boxers who could dance, skip rope, and jab. They made boxing look like an art form.
