Get behind the tigers

Yes this year hasn't been great. But instead of being negative let's be positive. We have Sheena coming back and Benji as assistant. We might get wooden spoon but these players are playing as hard as they can. We seen the effort in the roosters match some disappointment but can see a great future too. They played hard and hearts on their sleeves. We should be their cheering them on. Brooks and Hastings are one of the best players in the game and they showed that on Saturday night against the roosters. The whole team has been putting their hard earn worth in this year. Just the refs are against us. If it wasn't for the refs we would be first place. Let's go next weekend and cheer them on for a smashing. In tigers we trust.

I assume you are very young so I won’t be unkind.
Although you could also be attempting to troll, I suppose. Good on you.

As a brand, or the jersey, we've laways been behind it. As for the people managing or wearing the jersey...well sorry but that ship sailed in 2005...

I didnt see Brooks or Hastings play on Sat against the Rorters....I seen a depleted Tigers NRL side try to compete against a very strong top 4 contender for finals....

There is nothing in the results this season to suggest that Saturday's result would have been any different even if we had the full complement of players available. We've had 5 wins this season ( if you count North Queensland ) and 3 were the result of top sides turning up for a fun day and copping the Tigers on a good day ( all were very narrow wins ). We can't score points and we let in lots.
Signing players has never been about buying winners, it's been more about "Hey, we've just signed so and so for untold 100's of thousands of dollars a season ".
I'm sure Api and Paps along with Hastings will be a start but that leaves 14 positions to fill out of a roster that doesn't contain too many first graders.
The culture change needs to start at the top and not dealing with player managers would be a great start.

Just on that point, reading the legal fine print, the NRL actually owns the WESTS TIGERS brand so if they felt that brand was being misused or cheapened by the WT board then they could intervene.
So maybe that is the avenue for our complaints, that by poor management decisions the WT brand is/ has been tarnished and the League needs to challenge our BOARD and the Wests Ashfield board about that.
Forget Lee, address all complaints to PVL and AA.

Year 7 of this management and the club is about to get its first wooden spoon and just lost 72-6. SEVENTY TWO TO SIX. Sorry but someone needs to be held accountable.
We can’t keep looking at the scoreboard, think of the overall entertainment value.
In the 79th minute, we saw the poignant story of our club unfold.
Tamou, gets upset with the ref’s call, forcing the ref to bin him for 10 min.
Tamou responds by calling the ref f...king incompetent. The ref was entitled to be confused by the comment, as this was the captain of a side which has just had 66 points put on them, but to his credit he Increases the penalty by sending him off for the entire rest of the game. 😝
It doesn’t stop there, an ex local junior then waltzes over to score a 4 pointer, followed by a conversion from Sam Walker, who is younger than some of our great juniors who will become legends in 3 years.

I know, not the point of this thread, but I honestly don't see Sheens/Benji being anything other than a train wreck. The future is bleak.

I'd love it to work, I really would. It would be a beautiful story.

But Sheens is past it, and Benji had enough influence here in his playing career to make us the club we all wish to be. His interviews concern me, its still all about being and playing with your mates to him.

Would LOVE to be wrong. But this is how I see it.

After saturdays performance, I am opting out of my 12 year continuous membership renewal…this club needs to show me more for my hard earned cash…..if you can listen to Corey Parker’s assessment of the Tigers after our game Saturday night…he was brutal, but also spot on

Moh, I’m with you on that. I would love for it to work but can’t see it happening.
It’s a sad story really, and it’s about a club which lost focus in favour of infighting about jersey colours. Realising their mistake, they try to relive the wasted opportunity and moment in time. But it has passed, Sheens and others have been a missed opportunity, mishandled and mismanaged.
I thought Benji had put aside his media commitments, while seems reluctant to close his Twitter account? He’s as green as today’s picked banana.

One positive is that Wests Tigers have won more matches than the AFL team North Melbourne who have just inherited their their second AFL wooden spoon in consecutive years.
They've also just appointed the equivalent of Bellamy as coach.
There's also a draft and restricted free agency in the AFL that allows teams to rebuild from the bottom.
