I'm not surprised Gould is putting the boot in. I wouldn't think he would want Cleary to take the job.

If he does take it - it can only mean Cleary pinching 'x' amount of Panthers players.

And let's face it Gus released Lewis and Coote and they went on to win comps with others.

The more I think of it the more I like the boards decision to sack Taylor.
Caps being upped and we can basically replace the whole squad and coaching staff and not in years will there be so many players of contract.
Smart business move.

I read an article le from Gould this morning about our fitness… It mentioned nothing about him "warning cleary"

Journalistic licence! People in here are getting better and better at leaping to conclusions and reinterpreting public comments.

“If I’m Ivan Cleary, I don’t know that Wests Tigers is my number one choice,” Gould said on his ‘Six Tackles with Gus’ podcast for Wide World of Sports.

“A rebuild is a really hard job. If he looks at that, they haven’t got those four blokes (stars Aaron Woods, James Tedesco, Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks) on contract, their lower grades are going poorly, the NRL team itself is going poorly … what upside is there?

At least do your research boys before making yourselves look silly :laughing:
