" 6\. Storm v Tigers was a cracking game

I thought the Storm-Wests Tigers match on Monday night was the best so far this season. The intensity of the contest, the toughness of the players, the vast array of skills on show, the defensive commitment of both teams; this game had everything. The Tigers were tremendous in defeat. They will win a lot of games this season if they can keep their efforts to this level. What the game did showcase was that Melbourne are undoubtedly the most mentally strong football team in the NRL. They are 80-minute warriors. Their key playmakers — Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater — are so confident and composed under pressure. Any team that beats them this season will have to fight to the death to secure a victory. "

game of the season thus far.

Tigers played well and if they reproduce that performance will beat Saints this weekend.

Pity the referees rorted us out of the match. The standard of referring is very poor as neither was dropped this week.

Fox commentator Cameron Smith also called it as the best so far at one stage.

I couldn't watch the game live, had to record it and watch later - otherwise I would have been glued to the edge of my seat.

Must have been good to watch it at AAMI live!

That game was what draws all the supporters into watching the NRL, wheather it be on TV, Radio, Internet or at the game live. It was one hell of a arm wrestle. Yeah there wasn't many tries until the end, and that's what kept people watching. It could break open any time. A single mistake could be the turning point. It was a shame we lost, but they should hold their head very proud. After all, NRL is the Greatest Game In The World! :sign: :righton:

Smith and Co were very composed under pressure as Gus said, unfortunately the same cannot be said for Robbie, he was blowing up big time at the end. Its great to have passion but he needs to take a leaf out of Smith's book and stay composed for the sake of the team.

On a positive note, that game has given me so much hope for the rest of our season. I am so looking forward to Sunday's game.

IMO Dogs vs Souths was the best so far, because it was a day game that also added to the spectacle and atmosphere.

Yeah but we're talking about the game itself.
Souths vs Melbourne is apparently going to be the game of the season and it hasn't been played.
You definitely wouldn't have expected Monday night to be a contest like that. The score line is close to what some expected if not closer.
