Halatau starting hooker?

Surely this is a joke right?

I just dont get how we are a better side with him at hooker.

Is this just a media beatup or is this for real??

Surely its a joke.

Could be a media beat up, would not surprise one bit at all though

If true, Jeez Jason Taylor must smoke some good stuff

Would not be my option A, but I think it will probably happen. I think Taylor sees Farah value as a player who comes on once the heat has dropped out the game and they start to play some football instead of the one out stuff in the opening exchanges.

Personally I think we look better when we hit the go button from the kick off and play creative football, but most teams do play a pretty dour game till they get on top or have to play catch up football

Lets hope it is a beat up, hell Halatau has no right being in the 17, let alone starting hooker, although last week JT went with no hooker in the 17, so who knows with our stupid coach.

Skipping ahead a bit. Origin game 2\. Does Halatau play 80 minutes or do we ressurect Cherrington?

We surely can't have Halatau play all game at hooker, what the hell plan would that be. :crazy

I know right? What would you even do with the extra bench spot? Bring in another forward?

We have the BYE preceding Origin 2..

Not really seeing the fuss,,Farah will unlikely play 80 ..so I can see the merit of him coming on after 20-25 min mark and playing the rest of the game….this will again be played through the middle ....rather have Farah out there the 10 before and after HT than sitting on the pine...only uses 1 interchange as well...

James Hooper's 'mail' is that Farah was seen training with the benchies rather than the run on squad. It's almost 'guaranteed' his article is quoted as saying. LOL. Let's see how accurate this muppet's journalism is…

I don't really care either way as long as he does his job and gets the forwards rolling forward.

Not a fan of Halatau at all - Average player, drops the ball too often and givevs away dumb penalties (last weekend being one of the worst). We have so many options I don't know why they keep going with him there. I don't think his experience outweighs any of his negatives..

Farah has to play 80 minutes until we sign a suitable replacement. Our genius of a coach needs to allow him to run and engage defenders before involving the halves. We won't win with Farah shovelling the ball off the deck he is not the best passer off the ground but a great runner.

taylor needs to learn how to best use his squad and put aside pre determined game plans and feuds.

I find it hard to diasagree with this!

If true it could only be Taylor trying to exert his authority over Farah. I can't see anyone thinking that Dene is a better option at hooker than Farah. The other reason might be that there is truth to the rumors surrounding Farah's immediate future and this has sparked up the issue between them.

Then again - is it just the media still beating up the Taylor vs Farah thing? I suppose we'll all know soon enough.

I think we are all sick and tired of the so called Farah/Taylor fight. Both appear Egotistic (?) and no one is coming up a winner. Bad look for our struggling club attracting respect, fans and sponsers

Farah will always be a legend of our club but I think it would be good if he moved on in 2017 and not tarnish all the good he has done.

Time for a new era in 2017.

Dean is not the player he use to be but you can never complain about his commitment to our club.

Taylor needs to fix up our right hand defence (IMO drop two players responsible for this) and play one hooker only and have a big bench (my bench JJ Feile, Grant, Sue and Lovett/MCK).

Good luck with that JT seems reluctant to learn or alter his mindset

why's that? he wouldn't have played in 10 days and won't play for another 10 days after that.

this cat and mouse game has to stop, if he has a problem with robbie's attitude or his playing style, just drop him rather than doing crap like "Resting" and playing him off the bench.

currently, no one in the club can provide even 50% of the service that robbie gives us. robbie's a pest but he's the best we have and if i was a player who gave 100% each game, i would hate to loose a game like the roosters one coz the coach was too stubborn to pick the right team.

You also need to talk into account with one hooker you can replace Halatau with Chee Kam who is the better back rower and can cover in the backline if there are injuries. According to Taylor taylor ca cover at dummy half.
