Just wanna give a shout out to Dene.

Thought he looked good today, with a couple of really strong runs.

Didn't set the world on fire, but he was pretty solid i thought, and given the amount of stick he cops on here, i thought it was worth mentioning.

He's fantastic at getting us running the right lines. So often we look disjointed and Halatau gets us back on track

Couple of those hit ups reminded me of the old Halatau

Trying to get in behind the ruck ,Sheensy would of had a tear in his eye

It was also handy having Dean there when Robbie had to go off for a concussion test.

His game today is why i argued with those who wanted him out of the team.

He has a few games in a row now and if injury doesnt strike he will continue to improve. Just provides smart heads up play and knows how to be in the right spot when needed. With our young team we really need that.

Those sharp straight hit ups are now his forte, replacing the old scoot out of dummy half as these days he's not as quick, but he is bigger.

The timing of them is what needs to be built on, as we were looking very flat but as others have said, those runs got us back on the front foot.

While he is doing that, covering for Robbie and sticking his tackles I'm happy to see him on the bench.

His versatility is handy.
Some teams have two straight out hookers in the 17.like Parra did. Then when injuries come they have two people trying to play the one position, which doesn't work.
If Robbie's on Halatau plays 2nd-row/lock if Robbie's off, he goes to dummy half. It's working for us.
If a back gets injured Halatau, Lovett or Sirro could go to centre.
If a half gets injured Robbie could go there and Halatau to dummy half.

Was laughed at when said he ll be a handy replacement for Robbie's at origin time by all the cherrington fans. I still think he will fill that role for us. Cherrington s time will come.

Dene has always been a favourite player of mine. He adds stability to our team when he comes on. A real professional and a wonderful Ambassador for our club and a great role model for our players. Good to have him back, wearing our colours.

Most people also improved under potter IMO

Woods, farah, Tedesco, moltzen, Simona,

But this time it feels like they're playing as a team.

I thought things looked smoother when he was at dummie half.

Definitely agree, service was smoother and faster. Didn't notice him at all, which is always good for a back up hooker (didn't have space to scoot anyways).
The day Robbie puts away the one-handed pick ups and flopping all over an opposition player trying to get a penalty, he'll be an infinitely better player.
