Someone in that comment section last night called Gallen the white Mundine. Pretty acuarate I think. An absolute blowhard. An opinion on anything, and couldn’t take the draw gracefully. We’ll be reading him giving his opinion on everything for the next 20 years. What fun.

At least Choc can fight.

People can comment on the 2 minute rounds , but Gallen agreed to that in the end and still claimed on the Back Page he would knock Hall out

He was looking for excuses a week before for the fight , Hall's name was 1st ....the promoters were pushing Hall's wheelbarrow ....2 minute rounds

He didn’t have a choice regards the 2 minute rounds or Hall wouldn’t have agreed.
The fight was in Hall’s backyard ... he was the hometown boy, that’s why the promoters plugged him. Nobody down there knows any NRL players (unless they’re the few people who follow the Storm) so he was the guy to get bums on seats.
Everything, including height, reach, weight and a dodgy ref was in Halls favour.
Gallen won the fight ...it was a rort.

Gives you an idea on how dire Australian boxing is when he's fifth in his weight class rankings.

Boxing, and especially heavyweight boxing, has been dying a slow death in Australia for over 20 years.
A shame really but we don't seem to get any really talented big guys.
After all the fanfare about Lucas Browne being the next big thing all we got was fizzle ... and now he wants to fight Gallen.

I only want to see him fight Gallen because I would like to see Gallen take on a career boxer instead of trying to knock off guys like Hall in expensive exhibition fights.

Gallen’s not seeking fame as a boxer. Has already said long before this fight he won’t be continuing on as a boxer, except maybe to fight $BW because everyone wants to see it - and he would make a squillion.
Browne has spent years and years training for boxing. Hall is about the same size ... maybe he will jump into the ring with Browne if they will allow one minute rounds.

He's not seeking fame as a boxer, but chases these big paying exhibition fights? He's seeking fame out of it to drive up his share of the purse.

But if ask Gallen (as per back page ) he is trying to help boxing and Andrew Moloney's career

You answered your own question.
He's not into it as a career - but the money is hard to resist for exhibition fights.
Him and Hall got $2 million each - imagine how much he'd clean up if he fought $BW?
I've been punched in the head plenty of times for nothing lol

Whatever his motivations are, he's seeking to pursue it.
