Have we Finally Hit Rock Bottom????

This absolute pasting at the hands of the Cowboys has probably put our club in a position where we have hit rock bottom.

To me this could be just what the club needs a massive reality check. It may now be obvious to the decision makers at our club, that things are really dire and all this optimism for the future based on a couple of kids maybe pie in the sky stuff.

We need to take a leaf out of Gould and Cleary's business plan, because we are going nowhere at present with our present roster, the mix is all wrong. I think it is now obvious, rightly or wrongly Potter has to go along with most other people in our football club. We need to slash and burn and start again, our club will not survive another few bad years

Iam actually really happy that we did turn in such a rubbish performance as it might be the thing that actually forces change!!!!!

I don't think we've hit rock bottom yet !
We can still keep chipping away and go a little bit deeper . " journey to the centre of the earth ".

The mix is not too wrong. The squad is fine minus a couple of outside backs IMO.

We struggle with injuries year after year and that might be due to the $$$.

We struggle with the off field stuff in the boardroom and the front office which hopefully will be solved later this month.

We struggle with our game plan. That's where the mix of inexperienced players and inexperienced coaches is unbalanced. We can either appoint a new average experienced coach next year or stick with potter who will himself develop as a coach. He will make mistakes just like our young players and learn from it.

Yesterday was VERY VERY bad. But I still don't believe it's the be all and the end all. We don't have a 5 year plan like Penrith but we do have quality juniors locked up long term and that's our shining light ATM.

We are rock bottom but the next few weeks may see us go below that.

We still have the joy of more leaks perpetrated by the same old fossils

We already hit rock bottom, that's how we collected these diamonds among the rough..

Tedesco, Brooks, Moses & Simona are all gems.

Once our deadwood is cut by the end of 2015, we will have a dominate line up week in week out. As we will have money free'd up to sign a 2-3 guns in positions that are lacking atm.

Unlikely. One or two of the deadwood are still on long term contracts.

Today I saw the Sharks with a very average side compete for 80 minurtes, Penrith with a few key injuries controlled and competed all game, the dragons were in the contest till late in the game, the Raiders went very close and we were shot after ten minutes. The attitude is all wrong, the structures are all wrong, we are such a mentally weak club.

That is it in a nut shell,we suck when under pressure

Not a chance… This will drag out for at least 2-3 months. The media wont stop until they get blood!

I'm expecting BIG changes in he Off-Season.

Tedesco, Brooks, Moses Yes they are all class and have been from a young age.
Simona however is not a gem. Defensively he is terrible. Brain wise I don't know he has one and Yes when was the last time he scored a try ?

There needs to be. Every position at the club needs to be closely scrutinised - from the front office to the coaching staff, from the media office to the merchandising department. Presumably some of it's been done by Brian Smith - and hopefully most of it was done with an independent and unbiased eye.
Unfortunately we'll all have to wait until the new Board is in place. In the meantime, Mayer has to do his job and run this club the way it needs to be run. No more media appearances by players without authorisation, find those leaking information and deal with forthwith and throw his unqualified support behind the coach - at least until the end of the year.
It's going to be a very long month.

I think the media will drop off us soon, it will all be about final football teams and the other eight teams will slip into the wilderness.

I hope you are right and their are some big calls made, but more importantly I hope we have the coin to make the big calls on things like players, coaches, ceo's, support staff, training venues and of course board members

I doubt he is going to sack himself.

The new Directors will want someone new to support there choices and choose someone with a more professional perception…

I cant see him being here at the start of 2015 season [I'm not for or against Mayer], but if the NRL cant get a bird on the board, its more than likely they will push for a female CEO.

The Raiders were smashed by 50 odd last week, but came back and got close to beating Parra; Newcastle were hammered by Souths last game and came back this week and beat Melbourne. Maybe, just maybe we too can bounce back a bit next week and gain some much needed respectability.

Maybe he could just reprimand himself.
