**Can anyone Please help???**
I'm just wondering if anyone has any connections to the Tigers that might be able to organise a signed jersey or something?

Here's the story.

I’m a teacher in Mount Isa and one of our students(16yrs old) was playing footy and in Winton (460km away) when he copped a serious injury to his jaw. He was taken to Winton Hospital and couldn’t receive treatment as they simply couldn't perform a jaw reconstruction. As he is allergic to Morphine and Anaesthetic, he was forced to sit in a car on Nurofen alone as he was driven back to Mount Isa to the hospital here. Close to a 6 hour journey.

When he got to Mount Isa hospital, the family found out the hospital couldn't treat him here either. X-rays showed he had a severely broken jaw and they began the process of seeing if Townsville(900kms away) or Brisbane(1800kms away) hospitals could complete a reconstruction. It turns out Brisbane can but it'll be Friday before they can complete the surgery.

He flew to Brisbane yesterday(Tuesday) and I've been told he has received an alternative pain relief that is a little stronger than Nurofen.

To add to his pain he was due to fly to Spain this Saturday to be a part of the World Youth Day Celebrations in Madrid for 3 weeks. He'd been doing a whole lot to get ready for that (ie fundraising for nearly a year). Due to the extent of his injury, he is unable to make the trip.

As a crazed Tigers fan, I thought I might see if anyone on here had any connections with anyone at Wests Tigers etc to see if we couldn't get something for him going. Any assistance in trying to bring him some happiness would be great.

A bit of a long read but hopefully, together we can organise something.

Cheers.

Terrible story, hope the young fella gets better soon

They should be able to help, I used to live up the road from Lote when he was playing Union. A teacher at school asked my brother if he could get Lote to sign a wallabies jursey for his nephew in hospital. My brother just knocked on his door and explained the situation and Lote was more than happy to help.

Good luck mate.
