We. Are going to Kuala lumper , penang and langkowi island in early new year
Would love to here from anyone who has been to any of these places , we have been reading up on places to see and where to go for good street food , but would love info if anyone has a special place to eat or day trip , snorkeling , all info will be great

Andrew, take a stroll down George Town in Penang and you wont be disappointed. It's a foodie paradise and cheap. If you like fresh great tasting seafood try Weld Quay Restaurant. It's near the ferry terminal on Harbour road. You can't miss it as there's a huge tree right in the entrance. Enjoy :slight_smile:

Andrew i was there back in the 90's - i remember all the food was great - i gather a lot has changed since then.

Lived in Malaysia 3 months a year over a 4 year period.
Have good memories of the place.

Saw the bad side of it too though.

You'll need more than that, Geo. I crossed the border in November and haven't been the same since! Doc said it would take me at least 6 months to get back to feeling human again and another 6 before my IQ is restored to back to an acceptable level and I only ventured in as far as Surfers! IQ levels decline rapidly and your whole body morphs into a sub-human state the further up you go.

You know you loved Qld and want to move here , like so many of your Mexican brothers and sisters (Well being NSW men means your all probably related anyway in some weird screwed up way )

Hahaha, never in a million years! Ballina or Byron Bay are the furthest places I would move to - a safe enough distance from Redneckville :mrgreen:

Last time I was in Woolgoolga, there were 2 inbred halfwits doing a heroin deal in the middle of the footpath outside the IGA at 11 in the morning.

That said, it's still nicer than Surfers.
