Hometown Harry Referees-are we ever gonna get one?

Most teams get the cherry end of the stick from ref's at home games, when will it be our turn? They were determined it seemed to let Canberra lay all over our blokes in the play the ball today. The Storm got gifted a match-turning try from a pathetic play the ball on Sat night but we seem to get no Hometown Harry's reffing our games. Makes a difference at the end of the season without a doubt. That said we rolled over and got what we deserved today. We need a Hometown Harry

Have look at the penalty that resulted in Parramatta's winning try today.

We had hometown Harry's all the time at Leichhardt a few years ago. Now it seems like the refs go out of their way to show that they are not favouring the tigers at home

The last rub of the green we got was against Parra a few weeks ago. I think the hometown favouritism thing is a bit of a myth though, at least as far as Wests Tigers are concerned.

Urban myth.
We just need to play for the full 80

I agree, the team played well for the first 20 min, then went into cruise control and got overtaken. :imp:

All the Refs use an open hand to signal a try except Paranara, he uses his fist…..what is with that????? ( must be a Macho thing) He also needs to learn to count. Last time this happened in 2013 he and Cecchin got stood down. I hope they stand him down again as getting the tacles wrong is a Big NO NO for our game.

As well as not being able to count to 6 he can't count to 10 (metres that is).

They were "off side" most of the game.

NSW Cup for him hopefully.

Souths on the wrong end tonight 7-2, surely in a tight game that must have some bearing on the result. Were they that much more undisciplined than the Sharks, doubt it. Dont feel sorry for Souths, they have benefited regularly from being on the the right end of the count, just an observation. And yes I am possibly one of the few who believe that one sided and incompetent refereeing does effect the outcome of many games in this current competition - and will continue to do so while the coaches and the players get crucified for losses, and the refs poor performances are excused and or ignored.
