Lol he was admiring everything QLD were doing until Hunt sealed the win. I think Smitty really upset him in the box riding ‘dozer’ home lmao….
Very, very unprofessional assessment of the game post match. Fatty and Cam looked shocked at his petulance on camera.
I wish they had of niggled him so we got his complete thoughts exposed, but that may have been career suicide for them at NEIN as he is their golden boy.
He would be a bit sheepish this weekend I’d say.

That’s the bullshit he is referring to.
When in reality the game was that close that NSW just made a few errors under pressure but certainly didn’t play like they didn’t want it anymore or less then Queensland did.

Can't stand Joey but let's get a little bit fair dinkum here. Have you ever seen the look on Queensland commentators faces and hear them wail when they lose. It's as bad if not worse. Next time check out Lockyer, Vautin and Thurston. Total cry babies.
 
I could do with the yelling in the box, like Smith at the end with Hunt. Just seems so fake.

Agreed. You could've mistaken him for a QLDer the way he was blowing smoke up their butts.
 
I loved watching his saltiness! Showed that he cares!

As for being unprofessional, apparently the producers at Ch9 told Joey and Cameron to be passionate. You saw that with Smith during Origin 1 as he was cheering Hunt on. In his podcast, he mentioned that the producers wanted real emotion from them.

Joey obviously took it a little further, but let's move on.

Honestly, I liked it!

I have always felt that every game should have "specialist commentators" from both teams. Obviously, it will have more passion but the commentators would also have more inside knowledge. Things like the plyers junior clubs, their coaches, their history etc.

I live up in QLD and they carry on like a pork chop when they lose. I’ve been through the QLD Dynasty period with Thurston, Cronk, Smith so losing as a NSW Supporter is water off a ducks back now for me
