Humble panthers

The utility value Humble provided will be missed, I'd like to see him get into a solid position and stick with it. Good luck to him.

Good luck at the Panthers Tommy Humble good utility value.

I thinking how badly engrish techer today is and grammar is history anymore

Don't joke about it Ink

Did my sons spelling words this week with him on Monday ,which he copied off the wall from the trainee teacher (Uni grad)

Spelt Shepherd Sheperd and spelt Mistletoe Misletoe :brick:

After arguing with the young fella assuming he had spelt them wrong , sure enough when I dropped him at school and read the board …....

Anyway getting back on the subject how many of our 2012 signings are we keeping ??

Not many Grant gone ,Chisholm gone ,Humble gone ,Bell ??? ,Reddy staying (only cause noone wants him)

Mr MacDonnell has some questions he needs to answer, Sheens has answered his and failed

Humble gone, read on his tweeter, panthers 2years , I thinking **how many player do Penrith won't and are they under the cap?**

Have you seen the players they've signed? with the exception of Manu, the rest would struggle to be on 150K. And are you forgetting the money freed up by Lewis. Take all the players they've signed and it probably works out even

Yeah i think he will be a great buy for the Panthers. Wally Lewis reckons Humble has an enormous amount of potential. I agree. If Cleary puts him at 5/8 and lets him settle there, it will be interesting.

yeah he didn't really do too much wrong during his time with us. a bloody great tackler and a decent enough support player around the ruck.

seems like a good guy to have on the roster but hopefully moltz can be an upgrade and do the same role.

Good luck to him!

I blame sheens basically for this t humble is by far a better utility player than Motown

Gordon would have freed up some too.

They ran second a few years back, since than they have flicked/lost Petero, Waterhouse, Lewis and Gordon all origin players and replaced them with the likes of Ciraldo, Whare, Humble, Newton, lewis brown plus a few other fringe first graders and 1 bona fide good player in Sika Manu! What is going on at Penrith.

If they did off load Jennings they would prob spend the money on 6 fringe first grader!

I remember Brian Smith on year did something similar at Parra, thought they needed more depth and flicked one or 2 goodish first graders and replaced them with about 5 or 6 fringe first graders, Muspratt and Stu Galbraith were some of the recruits. It ended a pretty good period that had lasted 6 or so year.

Tom Humble quits Wests Tigers to join Penrith Panthers

PENRITH believe they have found a replacement for playmaker Travis Burns with utility Tom Humble this morning announcing he has left the Tigers to become a Panther.

As the player exodus from the Wests Tigers continued despite the appointment of new coach Mick Potter, Humble wrote on Twitter he will join the Panthers on a two-year-deal.

It comes hot on the heels of former Tigers players Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington's shock moves to Cronulla.

"Looking forward to the next 2yrs with the panthers. Will miss the tigers boys and fans but new 1's to be found in mighty Penrith," Humble posted.

The Panthers' pre-season starts today at Centrebet Stadium where Humble is expected to meet his new teammates for the first time.

The 23-year-old, who played 15 games for the Tigers in 2012 in the halves and at fullback, said it had been a pleasure to play alongside his former Tigers teammates despite being at the club for just 12 months.

It is understood Humble and the Tigers had agreed to part ways before the end of the 2012 NRL season last month.

Humble now faces a tough battle to win his spot in Panthers coach Ivan Cleary's top 17 players with Lachlan Coote and Luke Walsh the incumbent halves.

Good luck to Humble with his career at Penrith. I felt he was good utility value while at the Tigers but I understand he is trying to cement a regular FG spot and he probably has a better chance at the Panthers given the number of halves at the Tigers, plus the resurgence ot Tedesco at fullback next season.

Time will tell but Humble could turn into a top notch or at least better than average 1st grader. He suffered like so many other players having Sheens as his head coach. With all our injuries last year especially in key positions i just cant believe he was not given a better shot. His form was way better than a few others like Moltzen, anyway I hope he gets a decent go at Penrith

I think Humble was made to look more valuable than he really is because of an injury depleted team last season. I don't see hiim fitting into too many NRL sides that are at full strength. Might add short term utility value to someone at best.

Worst part about that: They are learning Christmas words in October!
