Looking at the stats, we actually did pretty well.
One item we really lost out on is missed tackles. 51 to 26 from Newcastle.

At the back half of the game we don't shutdown the knights attack and that is what really let them back in. ...

So does Klemmer change this result?

Who knows..but pole just misses too many tacles,as does Faaatupe. You cant win close matches with these guys
Both for impact late in the game if were down a try or two

No but I think API would’ve. We had no attack and they were there for the taking.
Actually yea.

Api, Bula

Either of these players coming in would have made a difference. Mason I think is still tighter then Bula in performing the Fullback role.. less mistakes and seems to be in the right spot. But Bula just has the points and flare in him.

He would have had zero impact on attack as he hits the line and flops harder than a woke Disney film but you can bet there would have been less missed tackles for the game. Would that equate to a win when you have 300 missed tackles in 80 mins, maybe.
Thats Klemmer.Bog average with the ball, but not loose in defence like ..say Pole.
And were at the stage where we need tight defence upfront, and allow the halves to do their thing in attack
So matbe we do win..but its a challenge to motivate him after the events of the past month or two

If you look at the replay of the Knights last try there were 5 or 6 missed tackles before Pole came from across the field to stop their 2nd rower (I think) just over the half way mark, then Bird didnt lay a hand on their winger who scored in the corner....That try was all about lazy and tired D...Klemmer would not have stopped that he would've been sucking in the big ones backfield.....

No, but I actually think Bateman would have made a big difference. While not a dominant tackler, he is energetic, loves the tough stuff and has decent speed for a 2nd rower and has no trouble going 80 mins. Seyfarth is tired, slow, weak and uncoordinated. We really lacked a strong edge presence there on Friday.

I don't think papalii or Klemmer would have made a difference, and we were so much better off replacing Stefano with May.

Look, he is gone.

With the way we treated him, I get it and I would be too. It's not a recoverable situation.
I hope Benji doesn't regularly flick people like this.

That said, Klemmer could have worked on his playing style a little more. Quicker play the balls would have meant he wouldn't disjoint our defense.

Maybe we win, maybe we don't.

However, we play 5 middle forwards each game and he is in the Top 3 at this club at this stage.

Regardless of his Dragons situation, he should have played. You play your best available 17 each week no exceptions.

Think KLEMMER has to take some blame in this crap , he can see that the club is trying to save a bit of money to buy more players , NOW he was asked to take less money and maybe a year longer contract but he refused , o.k the club gave him that contract but sometimes u just got to give and take , and he’s been on really good money for the last 8 odd years
