Brisbane Broncos to win the premiership!

Just near the halfway mark of the comp and they are the standout team, imo. They've been a pretty average bunch for a few seasons, but now with Bennett back at the helm they are looking a lot like the Brisbane of old. They have played consistently well for the first 12 rounds and even had a comprehensive 'baby broncos' win against Newcastle last week - it's been a long time since they were able to perform like that with their star players missing.

Just when a lot of us thought Bennett's best coaching days were behind him, he has this team firing on all cylinders, all over the park. I don't know what it is about Bennett and Brisbane, but he just seems to fit there and he is able to get the best out of them - it must have something to do with the culture of the club, which he himself had a big part in forming, originally.

Flip, the difference between the Broncos and us is…"they have a WINNING CULTURE"....

They have probably the best defense in the comp. A real staple of a Wayne Bennett team.

A lot of guys who were probably considered plodders 12 months ago have really lifted. Jack Reed and Lachlan Maranta are a couple of examples.

When there is no chance for wests-tigers to make the top 8 this season.
The halves will be un-leashed.
For the remaining games, they run riot and wests tigers end up finishing 9th due to point +/- difference.

I stated on another thread at the start of the year that The Cowboys will win this year and have no reason the change.

Wooden Spoon looks a real option to WT this year if we continue to play boring football Taylor has us playing. Bring back the entertainers.

I know they had a few players backing up from Origin but on the back of the game V Raiders, No way!.

Winning ugly sometimes is part of the makeup of a great team.

The broncos will certainly be there-abouts come September. But Cowboys are the pick for me.

Cowboys are my pick still

Look at the side they still put out without Thurston and Co.

For me it's a rabbits v dogs gf the rabbits will come good and I think if Hasler gets the dogs in the top 8 at say 6 th they will give it a real shot for me the cows are peaking way too early and the Broncos do have good d atm but they have been getting the rub of the green in all there games at home this year just my thoughts

Bring back the entertainers and guarantee the spoon.

Funny how all these great defensive team accolades are going to Dragons, Broncos etc.

However it is all wrong when we are trying to do a similar thing.

It is also much easier to have a winning attitude when you have half a SOO team instead of the youngest and most inexperienced team in the NRL.

Still early days, but if I was to stick my head out and make a call, I think a Chooks vrs Cowboys grand final and you would have to think the Cowboys would finally have some luck and get the odd call go their way in a big game.

As for the spoon I think we are specials with maybe only the Sharks as a team that can snatch it away from us

watching roorters giving it to the storm and they are my call, all things being equal with injuries etc, as the team to beat for sure. unless the roorters get salary(knee)capped.
ponies have struggled in recent years after soo and the young guys in their squad may find it hard to keep the consistency at the back end of the season
roorters v cowboys too with fingers crossed that sowfscum are nowhere in the mix

Forgot to add, Wests Tigers a late shoe in to 8th spot following a defensive transformation with a blend of attacking football after coach Taylor is convinced that men are capable of doing two things at once.

Wouldn't mind being on the Rorters just quietly as much as it's like a dagger in my heart…. :brick:
