In Context

It was a not our best night last night, but put a bit of it into some sort of context. We have a team with up to 10 players missing from our roster so cohesion is not going to be the best, we lose one forward before the game and one half way thru the game so finish with an unbalanced bench, tim moltzen has his worst game ever, along with the fact our back three decide from the first kick not to contest any high balls (until brown goes to the wing late in the match and defuses the first one kicked to him), then payten makes two unbelievable play the ball errors just when we didn't need them and combine this with the referees determined to even up the penalty count before the game finishes ….. well I think we can take some heart that we were still in the game with five minutes to go! The boys may not have showed much common sense out there but the grit was in evidence all night and miller is going to be some player in the future, and even tho he has picked up an injury now, I continue to impressed by schirnack, he offers some real variety and aggression.

I didnt see much grit, Titans were as bad as us…worse, thats what makes it hard to cop.
They had a fullback at 5/8 and a nuffie at the back....no attack at all.
Our forwards yet again played like girls.

But yes injuries, disruptions etc dont help
