Injuries this year (or lack there of)

It's it great to have an almost full strength side each week, week after week.

Aside from Nofoluma (injured last year) and Lodge, this year the team has fared well.

Great job management!

Major reason why we've stayed competitive.

Let's have another whinge about the team kitchen and prescribed diets

For once it seems we're one of the only teams who don't have injuries. I can see it already though… all the teams with injuries now will have all their players back towards the middle/end of the season and then that's when our players get injured.

The joys of being a Tiger's supporter... :brick:

Now that's looking on the bright side of things. 😕

Touch wood at this early stage. You would have to say the overhaul in Strength and Conditioning is paying off so far though.

Well, apart from what could have been a calamity in the pre-season with the berries, we've done well. I'm sure if it were the old coaching staff and the berries incident had taken place, the players affected probably wouldn't have played all season.

The biggest positive so far, apart from the minimal injury count is Tedesco's fitness. Even when he was fit last yr, he always looked like he was just one wrong foot plant away from another ACL. You could tell he was going to go down, which he did, three times. Granted the third time was completely avoidable, and i think it was just the adrenaline that got the better of him. You haven't gotten the sense that that's the case this yr, he looks healthy. I don't think he's playing as explosively this yr as he was last yr, but i'll happily take him at 5-10% less if it means he's going to be fit. Running like a kamikaze most probably contributed to the injuries, so glad he's reigned it in a little bit.

So much for those who said our injury problems were just 'bad luck'. Luke Portese said this a number of times. No wonder we had so many injuries, he must have had no idea what he was doing.

Touch Happy's wooden noggin….

Consitantly putting the same team on the field will only benifit the team in the long run....no secrete the most successful teams use the least amount of players during a season...

huh?? the berries was all just precautionary, unless the medical staff have some magic cure for hepatitis the players getting hep from the berries wouldnt have been cured instantly.

I can't believe people are even bringing up the I word

Especially against a side we have notoriously had players injured against in the past

Not really true…. If it was luck (and I believe that it was a major part of it), it stands to reason that we would revert to the mean....
