Injuries

Another three or four yesterday, according to the press conference (mostly shoulders).

Does anyone actually believe this is simply a case of "bad luck"?

Our strength and conditioning department has to be the worst in the competition.

Gawd this argument is tiresome…..

Its a game of footy...players get hurt.

When u have 110 kg monsters charging at you and trying to hurt you, guess what?

People can and will get hurt,

Stupid argument.

No one is saying people don't get hurt. Our players get hurt more than other clubs (look at the statistics).

Can't be a coincidence.

Keefy Shoulder
Thompson Shoulder
Brooks Shoulder
Austin Hamstring

Austin won't play if it is remotely an issue , he is reliant on his running game

I've polished the boots Mick and I'm ready to go

And what statistics are these??

Injuries in footy games are completely random…u only have to be off by a cm and u can get knocked out or worse.

Blaming peeps is just reeeediculous.

But lets keep the anger going...someone has to be at fault!!!

I am with you Happy, will pull on the Boots as long as i can be third Man in in the tackles, Also no taking the ball up, Other then that im fine. Come to think about it, Forget it.

Geez it's going to be a long off season …....
The way our players are dropping we'll be lucky to have a run on squad for round 1 next year .

Mick wants to give me a run TB , but Mayer has tweeted he doesn't like my attitude and Robbie and Keefy don't want me in the side because I'm not a metrosexual

Bulldog Ritchie will run an exclusive next week (and then I will run Bulldog over )

All the board members rang me last night asking whether I liked Mick or not and wanted to know if I supported Wests or Balmain

The statistics that we have suffered more injuries than any other team over the past five years. Of course some of them are just unlucky but not all of them.

You keep believing that it is just bad luck, and nothing to do with the terrible facilities, lack of finances and prehistoric football department.

So what happens next week??Talk we have blown our second tier cap and we will not have 17 fit top tier players available.

It will get ugly, as we could end up with Farah as 7 Moses 6 Rowe 1 Lluani 9 and Halatau no4 and heaven knows who else.

Poor old Potter is on a beating to nothing for the rest of the season and it looks like the snakes in the front office will get their way come season end

If talking rubbish equated to metres gained,Happy would be a permanent starter in our front row…

You need to get over your hatred for Qlders Simon and buy yourself a sense of humour while your at it

I hear that you can get two for the price of one at Lowe's at the moment

None of these were soft tissue injuries. Bodene got injured coz he got his shoulder in the wrong position. Moses landed heavily on his shoulder- same with brooks who has even defending on people twice his size in the front line as a 19yo. He was bound to get injured at some stage.

If the injuries were like a muscle strain or cramps etc then you can blame the staff but most of these injuries are unfortunate events in the game. Dislocations, ligament damaged, fractures etc all you can do is probably strapping to give stability not much else anyone can do.

In saying that, we probably don't have the state of the art equipment and international level sports scientists but most of these incidents are bad luck.

Where are these stats? Our strength and conditioning tean changed this year. I guess management just recruits a couple of gym junjies at Concord to run our program?

Seriously we have a lot of injuries because we have a young squad. It is not particularly earth shattering that young players are prone to suffering injuries as they continue to develop.

Did we have a young squad four years ago? Because we have had a ridiculous amount of injuries for four or five years straight.

Anyway, all I will say is, I hope the internal report about the S&C department and the football department at the club is made public (everything else has been leaked so I'm sure this will eventually come out). Will be very interesting.
