Is Tedesco The Best Fullback In The Last Decade

Not many fullbacks debut in SOO as the prime target of the opposition defence as Tedesco did. He didn't dominate because NSW went in with a transparent attack plan and the play makers didn't adapt to Queensland defenders swarming Tedesco. He did bloody well in the circumstances he was confronted with.

^ Strongly agree. He was targeted like crazy, and was given bad ball by the playmakers in the team. Took some poor options in attack close to the line, but otherwise, had a solid debut, running for 200+ metres.

Give him a few more games and he'll start to really show what he can do.

Is he the best fullback of the last decade though? He certainly has the ability to be. The last two years he's consistently been on fire. If he keeps it up for another couple years, he'll be making a strong case from himself.

Either way we really need some protection for Teddy, Brooks, Moses & now Liddle. And I'm not talking the "four seasons" variety either. Sick of seeing them getting targeted by the opposition without any hint of retaliation from our blokes. Hopefully as guys like Ava, Sue, Aloiai & JJ gain more experience they show more aggression too! They're certainly big enough for it!!

I agree… But Sue & Ava have had 3 years NRL Experience.

Sue has showed signes of aggression, but his lack of concentration has shown him up in Defence. How anyone can fathom he can remain focused for 80min as a backrower is a long stretch.

Ava is a domestic. He does the job he is currently doing but I can't see any progress in his guile. Unless he starts putting big boys on their bums, we have some choices ahead of us.

Going into 2017, I feel JT needs to make a choice who plays NRL, and who plays back-up in state cup.
