It's time for 5 point tries, 6 point converted tries.

5 point tries not 4, 1 point for conversion, not 2

Make tries 5 points instead of 4.
Keep converted tries at 6 points, i.e. the conversion is worth +1 point only, not +2.

With the Bulldogs beating Cronulla 2 tries to 3, I am totally sick of it. I know this happened to us a few times too.
A try should be worth 5 points, not 4.
A converted try should still be worth 6 points, just the conversion means +1 point, not +2.

Do you agree?

Only for those 10 years when the Tigers didn't bother to employee a goal kicker.
My favourite was how we hired Jason Taylor... You know the guy that is 3rd on the NRL all time goal kickers list*.

Who doesn't train up a goal kicker!

It would have been the easiest thing for him to do as Coach. "Hey this is how you kick goals in games"

*I looked it up. He is way behind Smith and Reynolds, but in front of El-Mazri and Halligan.

When I hear someone mention Taylor I just think of how good it was that falongo dropped him
I have the same smirk on my face when someone mentions Anthony watts
Good times

Lean to kick goals.

If you’re gunna change some rules how about the we start with the making the salary cap transparent and fair.

I voted yes because the maths easier in 5’s when your pissed and trying to work out how far behind we are. That said, kicking is a skill that should be encourage. keeping conversions to 2 would be better.
Then 7 points of a converted try is too much ..so i probably should have voted no.

I would argue that scoring is rewarded based on where you score which comes with an opportunity to convert it to 6. So a team will probably convert to 6 if they score under the posts, but this gets progressively more difficult as you score towards the sidelines so the reward is more likely to be 4.

I would argue 2 points from the sideline for a great kick is of equal value to 2 points from right in front because a team was able to score under the posts which is harder. At least in theory.

In reality, most teams that win score more tries than their opponent, so it's not a big issue in the game.

If we want to make the game about who scores more tries to avoid scenarios like the one in the OP, then why have conversions at all?
