A Prop…..on the Market......

**STOSIC RELEASED BY WAKEFIELD**

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have released prop James Stosic midway through a two-year contract due to overseas player restrictions.
>
The Wildcats had hoped New Zealand-born Stosic would become exempt from the overseas quota by acquiring a Macedonian passport before next season.
>
The club say they signed the former Gold Coast and Cronulla player last year on the understanding he could secure a European passport.
>
Stosic, who is of Macedonian descent, has been unable to do so and Wakefield have chosen to terminate his deal.
>
The signings of Daryl Millard, Ben Jeffries, Glenn Morrison and Shane Tronc for next season mean the Wildcats have no room in their squad for any more overseas players.
>
Coach John Kear said: "We'd like to thank James for his hard work on behalf of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and wish him well for the remainder of his career."

Thoughts?.......could be a cheap pick up........

Could be…Is he going to chase an NRL club or try another Super League club?

I don't know he had 1 good year at the sharkies… I think it was... then moved to the gold coast & did next to nothing...

I rekon I might prefer them to take a punt on the young fellas maybe earlier than they wanted but I rekon Andew Fafita wouldn't be too far off getting a crack in 1st grade depending on how hard he works in the off season with Folkes

the kind of prop who wont let you down, but wont be a superstar.

i liked him at the sharks, at the titans he just didnt kick on for whatever reason. if be happy if we signed him, would be a good fill in if any of our top line props went down.

The Tigers currently have Fifita ranked as the 5th prop in the club.

so do they rank people in every position?

what are the top 4 in order?

and can you please let me know who the 12th ranked winger is?

I'd Go…Galloway, Gibbs, Cayless, A Schirnack, Payten....6th Fafita with a bullet*

As for winger easy......Fitzhenry.....

This was quoted in Rugby League week, with Fifita being listed as one player to watch in 2010\. Clearly the likes of Galloway, Gibbs, Cayless, and probably Payten and Moors are ahead of him. They mentioned once Folkes strips the puppy fat off him and he hardens up, he'll go real well.

What's the go here?
James Stosic??
Who would have ever honestly had him on a wish list??

Back years on this forum, people have criticised WT forum for signing nuffies.
And now the word goes out…. would we sign him..etc etc

Sure, let's strengthen our roster, for sure
But the bottom line is strengthen and balance.

People eventually get attuned to this sort of thing, much like our rent a stadium scenario, along income taxes and bad service <->just the way things are nowdays

the reason most people get sh*tty at our recruitment is that we buy nuffies for positions we dont need strengthening. then sign NO ONE in the positions we do need depth.

when was the last time we bought a prop? even a crap one at that? (before cayless)

we sign reserve grade outside backs and back rowers by the truck load.

for this reason alone i would be happy with the stosic signing

yeah it was a while. galloway, payten, ohara

they were all pretty good singings at the time. not sure what happened with ohara though. payten was good but he had a shocking year this year. galloway is going to get better and better unless injuries stop him.
