James Tedesco’s contract investigated, family ‘approached lawyers’ after split with agent

Are these club TPAs or outside of club tpas? If the latter, why are the roosters involved if by the rules these types of TPA can't be setup by the club?

@cochise Look at Tedesco getting paid under the table payments. That was this is all about.

I read the article and it said no such thing?

Yeah people going off early, whenever they hear TPA they auto-jump to paper bags. The article basically released no details except that they had some questions on his contract.

It may be as simple as deals falling through and the Tedesco clan trying to recover monies; plenty of precedent for that in the past with other footballers.

I'm not trying to say there are no dodgy deals, but I very much doubt this is it. You typically don't hear leaks from the NRL on a big case until they are ready to drop it loudly and quickly. If small bits and pieces are out in the media, it's more likely that they are only part of a small bits and pieces story.

I'm looking forward to hearing Braith Anasta's take, though. If memory serves he was pretty pissed off when a TPA he had while he was at the Tigers fell through - I'm sure he'll be just as scathing about perceived lack of professionalism at the Roosters. They do provide athletic tape and Gatorade, though, so maybe down a notch or two in fairness.

@WT2K exactly my point earlier ... how is the NRL trying to ascertain “who knew what” about the deals when it clearly prohibits them from being involved in the paperwork/knowledge of such deals existing... if it just that Moses didn’t come through with TPA deals for Teddy (like his dentist) and it turns out Teddy@/ lost a fair bit of income then I am one very happy man

Of course he got his parents, and probably bryden’s lawyers to ask some questions of Aunty Nicky ... what a little puss excuse for a bloke. He is disgraceful leaving without even knowing what he would & would not be entitled to at that absolute leech of a club.

With my current of view of The NRL administration, I have already accepted that nothing will come of this. Todd will make this disappear and all parties (other than struggling clubs) will continue to flourish within this corrupt organisation. WTs will probably get pinged for blowing our Gatorade cap and that will take the heat off the poor Roosters.

It also says they were trying to establish who knew what about the deals. That may suggest they have concerns that the deals weren't entirely setup by Moses.

We can only hope, but it is the roosters, and they are right in the NRL’s blind spot

I can just see the NRL searching every corner looking for any evidence on the rorters cheating and then destroying it to stop it getting into the wrong hands.Blessed be the rorters

Nothing will come of it. Uncle Nick smartly declined to work directly with Moses and had Mini do the dirty work. The club will be shown to have been at arm's length for any TPAs...

Good point.

People would be surprised how many 3rd party deals fall on their bums

Ask Bwaith

Couldn't have happened to a better scumbag!

It was - and we were very lucky we were not fined and our CEO stood down for 6 months.

@Russell Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to blame us. Immediately after Teddy signed with Roosters but whilst he was still playing with us, he started appearing in these Nike ads. Surely that was organised by the Tigers, trying to coax him to stay, hey Todd.

The NRL Politburo will not permit controversy regarding the chosen ones. Fuhrer Greenturd will be out to deflect, sweep under the carpet and find a scapegoat elsewhere.

What do you expect when Issac Moses is involved.
The bloke is a boot scum.
As my father said, never get involved with Lebanese when it comes to business.

I willing to bet that the parts of the deal under scrutiny involve Isaac's pockets getting fatter.
