OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - Official

Luai has a great attitude. It might take a couple of years but he has the potential for him having a similar effect on the Tigers as Crichton did for Dogs.

He'll be great for Api and Galvin too - it won't fall on their shoulders. Poor Api was busted by the end of last year from trying the team and Galvin ended up trying too hard and making mistakes.

Api is a 60 minute player nowadays, particularly so in a side that he needs to somewhat carry and also be the main goal kicker.

I think it starts in pre-season. You miss an assignment at training, you all pay a price. Everyone understands that.

It could be a weighted sled exercise that everyone hates for instance, and if someone stuffs up, everyone hits the sleds.

A light jibe soon turns into a gentle spray and later a full on spray. It’s orchestrated and engrained into your culture. It’s happened in training, so nobody is shocked by it. It’s keeping everyone accountable.

It’s all in the preparation.
Yeah...but the culture today is to ignore your shortcomings and call it bullying. The heroes aren't the ones that perform, but the ones that have been "brave" to call out a so called bully. Problem is the "brave" ones will never get any better because they can't cop when people wont put up with bad performances.

Successful people don't cry when they get a spray. They self reflect and get better.

Too many weak minds around.

Good on Alamoti for taking it on board and getting better.

I think you only have to watch Craig Bellamy in the coaches box to understand that some cultures haven’t yet been overtaken by the wokies.

Yes, training is where it should happen

Api was busted because we have used him incorrectly the whole time he has been here. Totally over played.
Lachie made a lot of mistakes because he was 18 and thoroughly unprepared to play full time NRL in such a pivotal position. Our pathways failed him.
Both will be better next year if our coaching improves.

This is the right opinion. I don't wanna hear no other garbage...

Both aren't perfect players, but thats not completely there fault, its the fault of our franchise being so mismanaged

Article through the week confirmed Luai regularly sprays his teammates. With quotes from Alamoti. Get used to it.

League is a man’s game. If they can’t cop a spray, try soccer.

Edit: Most sprays are as simple as “fu$&ing switch on mate” and the ultimate goal is to make sure the player doesn’t dwell on the error.
Grrrr,. I can smell the testosterone in yiur post, surprised you didn't mention cups of cement.. Nice to see yiu agree tho.. Yiu basically said what I did ie: encouragement

My only concern is him suffering an injury, particularly a serious one, as WT need him on the training paddock from day one next year.
Yeah me too. I know they have to have them but I kinda hate these end of season world championship comps. I reckon it’s enough on the body playing a long season in the NRL, especially if your team makes it to the grand final, plus it can disrupt preseason training for many of the teams, with new recruits etc. I don’t want our prize signing (we don’t get many) risking injury by having to play more games over the off season, but it is what it is or so the saying goes.

Sort of agree, however most used to love following the old Kangaroo tours, with those old enough still remembering the feat of the undefeated 1982 "invisibles" and applauded it.

Hopefully Jerome and the others are all back on deck injury free in early January, with the experience he gains through the Samoan captaincy also bringing improved leadership skills to WT.

I wouldnt worry to much about Luai getting an injury, all the NRL players know that risk...I would be more concerned about his mental health after coming from a very good system to our deranged system where the boys club still live in the 2005 glory and the club failing to move on from that point in time...I will say Richo being here will clean the joint especially with his knowledge and experience in his field...
There is no doubt we have a very good amount of talent next year, the question is will Benji be able to convert the talent into winning combinations and compete week in and week out....
Jerome is a superstar,a proven winner and athlete,he is one in a squad of 30,I hope people dont see himas a saviour, the man is only human .....

So am I but we suffer yet again after signing him for $6 mill.
I think it is only one game against England and that takes place on 28th October while he is still officially a Panther.

Edit: There is actually a second game on the following Sunday which is 3rd November
