OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - Official

Read an article / comment from Luai about how he was keen to start pre season immediately with the Tigers but the opportunity to captain his country was too greater opportunity to pass on.
Also in the same comment he mentions with Crichton and To’o being unavailable as they “have a bit going on this offseason”.
Crichton is getting married, but what does To’o have going on?
It’s not his country.
He is Australian, born and raised.

knee rehab....

Not insinuating anything. Just curious. He did look to be carrying an injury and didn’t come back on the field. But there was also footage of him sprinting back on the field once the siren sounded. So he can’t be that injured. Just found it interesting that Luai put it that way.
"(To'o and Crichton being unavailable) was more reason why I needed to, I needed to hold it down for the boys. They've got some things going on in the off-season, and rightfully so. I'll go over there and hold it down."
You got a link to the article mate?

Why is it a blow to the tigers if Luai proudly represents his country but it's not a blow to all the other clubs who have players representing their country??

The journalist needs to get his head out of his own ass seriously
Firstly, he is not proudly representing his country, he is an Australian, born and bred.
Secondly, his presence at pre season training - especially during the hard bit, is required to show his team mates that this is serious and not just a paycheck.
Thirdly, as the only real leader in this squad, the more time he spends with the coaching staff devising strategy etc, the better off we'll be.

Trust you to be the eff wit that says this sort of crap.
It’s true though, it’s not his country, it’s his parents heritage.
Back to the debate at hand, yes I’d prefer JL at preseason training asap, for all the positive reasons previously pointed out, but of all the players we have signed I reckon JL will be fine. The other thing is surely we can be professional enough to have everyone else ready, and in tip top shape for his arrival.

Hopefully Samoa get bundled out early. They've no
hope with Critta & To'o out 4 the Pacific Championship.

We need him back early, and well rested...
