Jersey Flegg Called Off

Have it on good authority JF’s season has just been called off.

Bit of a shame with our best side in years - undefeated.

Not sure how many will be staying - signings not publicised by the club mostly.

Disappointing but not unexpected with the way things are going in NSW right now. I wish the club would promote the boys more too, as they really are part of the stepping stone to FG and given the age limit is under 21s, it's not unrealistic to go straight from Flegg to FG if form warranted it.

Would love for ogden to get a run

I hope we just give Logen Dillon a run at fullback before the end of the season. He's not even that young.

There is a lot of talent in that side - Brandon Tumeht, Jordan Hill, Kade Hill, Pole and Liam Scolari among a host of other players.

Reminiscent of the Balmain team that had Suli, Seyfarth, Doueihi and Papz.

We've always got talent coming through.
Hopefully we've worked out how to retain and develope them properly.

I can't believe the lengths that rugby league organisers will go to to prevent Tigers getting silverware.

Surely we get the trophy right? They should just award it to us for being first when the season is called off? Like why not?

Just give those kids a run in FG - ready or not (if you're good enough you're old enough) at least they will show the whole FG side how it is to play with pride in wearing the WT jersey

Just another lazy call from the NSWRL. Not even thinking about what could be done - they need horsewhipping.

At least Phil Gould has come up with something they should at least look at with a shortened summer comp. See other thread.

Yep, the complete incompetence of the NSWRL continues to astound me.

Sure there are complications to work through, but they should be trying everything they can to support and reward these players and officials. But they repeatedly put everything in the 'too hard/can't be bothered' basket.

Does anybody know a single thing about the squads contract statuses for next year? The Flegg side is a genuine positive in a horrible year and the club has barely mentioned them, half the time we didnt even get a match report. All Ive gathered so far:

Fuatimau signed for next year (via an instagram Q&A)
Mavoni signed with Dogs (via the Dogs)
Ogden apparently meeting about a deal (via THE POM here)

So none of this from the club.

Been told that Dillon was offered a Top 30 deal at another club, think Parra, havent heard anything further though.

Dillon = papenhauzen

Yeah not hearing anything about the boys at the moment, and that's a bit of a shame because realistically we need to be promoting at least 3 of them into the top 30 for next season - I'd be getting Ogden, Dillon and Tupou into the top 30 and several more into KOE.

Dillon = papenhauzen

That's who he reminds me off - brilliant acceleration, good through the middle and just a real competitor from what I've seen of him.

100%

And losing Dillon will be another mistake like the Papenhauzen one too.

A must keep.
