This is the correct way to look at it. Madden could make this a tricky decision for the club in the next few weeks with good form though.

Although, any club interested in Brooks could just sign Madden to a cheaper deal as well.

Jock played well tonight & contributed to the win, good on him! He’s not better than Brooks though, however may well get there by the end of the year. With Hastings running our attack from lock we don’t really need a traditional halfback. At this stage I think Brook’s pace & defence puts him ahead of Madden & more importantly suits our team better.

Madden has shown he is first grade quality. Things to work on yes but so does the next big thing at the Roosters Walker. The choice we have is still with the old or try the new.
