This all depends on the success of the the first grade side but you do make a good point

these kids might get a debut but there not gonna be solid week to week first graders at the age of 19 or 20.

I prefer the Melbourne system you never see them bring in kids that are to young or not ready for first grade they let them develop into consistent rugby league players in the qld cup then once they earn there debut they are far more ready for it. In order to do this your first grade team has to be doing well in order for this system to work or your kids will just leave for a better club they have to see they will be successful once they receive there jersey

Melbourne seems to picks it's best 17 and then find spots for them

Noticed Ashton Large isn't on any
team lists. Was hoping he would
stick around with older brother Onitoni
and the gun Newington centre young Haemasi Makasini. Any word on him?

Both are in Wests Harold Matthews squad. Ashton Large listed as a development player in the squad because I believe he’s two years younger.

Ashton Large will be in the Matts squad next year, along with the other boys in those Development spots.

They're all one year younger (U/15's this year) than Onitoni Large, Karnib, Isdale etc.

Joey Saukuru is an established junior rep coach.
He took the Canterbury SG Ball team to the final in 2018 and has been an assistant coach of Fiji.

Nah. He will finish high school and then join us for 2024. He did train a little bit with SG Ball squad in the pre season though.

Nah not too young, he's 17/18.

Not listed in a squad because he's finishing high school this year, so he's staying on the North Coast until then.

No, pretty sure he’s just going to play for Taree City in Group 3.

Would most likely play first grade for them, you would think.

I'd be surprised to see him in first grade this season but I'd love to see him force his way into the team.
