It's an interesting concept though - Madge was a hard task-master and by many reports this approach doesn't work so well with younger players any more.
Two of the best coaches of the past 20 years, Bellamy and Bennett, one is a high-intensity boss with very specific game plans, the other is a renowned man-manager who is good at getting performances out of his roster. Benji has a significant history with Bennett and it's not surprising his management style leans more towards "the feels" rather than a military-style approach.
I would not be surprised at all, over the next 10 years, if the military style of coaching gradually falls out of favour, based on the needs and expectations of younger generations.
