If he ends up like Sandow, all Wests Tigers fans better put themselves in self induced cona for the next 7 months.Sorry wrong video. This one. Luai in another life....
I was more hoping similar to Scott Prince or Jonathan Thurston.

Yes similar as in off the cuff style, I agree with you there.Luai seems to be off the cuff. Plays what he sees in front of him.. Like Galvin an instinct player. Just they are different in thinking.
Luai, Galvin, Fainu even API and Bula are all ‘off the cuff’.Yes similar as in off the cuff style, I agree with you there.
Off the cuff is good, we don’t want a team of robots.
Would help if outside and inside would expect the unexpected not stand there like dummies, our support play has been bad previously even on the simplest of plays. It is not possible to play off the cuff at NRL level without structure. The players that benefit from unstructured play are those knowing where they need to be so that Luai, Galvin and Api can hit them without thinking. That is why Penrith and Melbourne are so good at it!
Unstructured footy without structure is just park footy on the weekend with your mates.
In theory yes, but none of Melbourne Storm’s spine are what you would really call structured and it generally works for them.Luai, Galvin, Fainu even API and Bula are all ‘off the cuff’.
Need someone to bring structure.
That is exactly the problem RHS. They don't have the structure to support the plays that guys like Api pull off. They simply need to be running the lines and expect the ball. Just like to old X and Y play - the reciever only needs to know that he is running a line at a specific player - they guy with the ball is responsible for moving him out of the line. He runs the X or Y route, depending on what he sees in front of him. If the player follows him he gives it to the hole runner if he doesn't he goes through the gap, deep into the line or shovels it out.Would help if outside and inside would expect the unexpected not stand there like dummies, our support play has been bad previously even on the simplest of plays.
It only works because the receivers know where they should run and the spine picks up somone who has not been covered. (see above)In theory yes, but none of Melbourne Storm’s spine are what you would really call structured and it generally works for them.

This is exactly how unstructured players operate - the recievers simply need to run at holes (or holes that amy be created) and expect the ball every time (knowing they may receive it 1 in 3 or so.
Let's hope the fitness levels have improved to a point that clarity of thought under fatigue is much higher like the top teams. That is exactly the problem RHS. AHX can you let Benji know it is more educational reading this forum than spending time with his family. You've just told us why the top teams are top. Benji hope you listening here.
Without a doubt we have players with the skill - Luai does it naturally, Latu has demonstrated it, Bird certainly understands it and Api does it around the ruck.Very well explained Jolls 👍
Serious question, do you think our coaching staff in conjunction with the players we currently have are smart enough and good enough to implement this ?
Jack Nicholson what a great actor he was in the past. But we are FAMILY!!!!
While I understand where you are coming from it actually takes less fitness to play structured footy because you knwo your role and aren't running around like a headless chook unless you are the Munsters, Luais and Walkers of this world.Let's hope the fitness levels have improved to a point that clarity of thought under fatigue is much higher like the top teams.
I don’t share ur call about been a top 8 team , YES we got a great backline and some very good forwards , but we lack backrowers and our depth in the forwards is poorCorrection. Little Fainu seems to be off the cuff. Plays what he sees in front of him.. Like Galvin an instinct player. Just they are different in thinking. The bottom line is we have a top 8 team on paper. Benji. Hope you are listening.

If I was and edge I would love to be playing along side of Roney or Latu. Run my lines and pick up the glory!
