OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

They are in the business of making money and to be frank, most of their content is trash.
NRL would be a money spinner.
Theyre a world wide international company, Id think the percentage of subscribers inerested in NRL would be very small. US. sth america, europe asia...nup

if we do re-sign galvin, we probably will not keep latu fainu, so be it. If we do sign galvin, I would rather we then prioritise bula and then tds
I don’t get the sign Gal, lose Latu mentality. No offence Jedi, love ya input. But he’s here for another 3? and he’s only on 500 ish, and just spent the last year injured. He’s our next inline, but he needs to get himself on the park as a durable footballer and bash the NRL door down, for both us and his career. He will get his chances in NRL throughout the season and if he plays well needs to be rewarded, and all this needs to be relayed to him. Bcoz you never know what the next few years will bring and what positions others maybe playing. Be patient like TDS learn your craft as he will certainly be a first grade half at the Tigers if he does.

It's very low risk for Netflix with the potential of a very high ROI. They will get the ANZ and UK market before theyve even lifted a finger.

All they need then is a small uplift on viewing numbers globally and then they've made their return.

If it takes off, then they are laughing.

Id be very surprised if the next broadcast deal isn't with Netflix or Prime.
NZ would be somewhat lucrative....Poms, wouldnt crack 6 figures

I think that Latu and his manager will look to move on if stuck behind JL and Galvin… he probably wants his chance to get his own big deal , but that will require a couple of years playing in the halves in the NRL which is unlikely to be happening at WT

Patience could be the key to his career though?

What has TDS done to get a 500k per year contract? Still learning...he ain't Harry Grant good
What has Galvin done to get over a million?
It seems we are now paying on potential.
Haven't we played that game before - the paying on potential one?
Melbourne or Penrith would make an assessment to reach his value and have a ceiling for a comeback bid.
Richo is an experienced operator you would expect his strategy would be similar it is not like before when previous management would pay stupid money to keep a player and in their own minds think they have done a great job.
Have to stay firm and convince them to stay just hope we are winning that will help, you can't pay outrageous money and nuke the cap we know how that affects the rest of the squad.

I just feel if we do sign galvin (don't think we will) but if we do surely latu fainu will not stick around in reserve grade he is too good for that level

You can localise the content shown on streamers.
You wouldn’t make it available to markets where you’d receive low viewership.

He is very rough still. Some brilliant moments and some momentum killing moments. In thinking about his creativity and instincts, however, he is a pretty rare player. There's not many halves out there that have that ability to play that way, let alone teenagers.

I still think katoa is the best young half in the game, his organisation and defense and kicking game already look very consistent and solid. But Galvin is a different sort of player and potentially as valuable.

He's much looser this year which has both created errors and moments of brilliance. He is already a much better player than Moses or brooks ever were for us and he is probably close to that Tedesco level where the tigers game is starting move around him, with or without luai.

You can also see the way luai creates the space for Galvin, holding up the defensive line with his guile, and they are looking like a surprisingly good combination, even though they do still have moments of getting in each others way or pulling in opposite directions.

You can also see that the tigers would still be threatening with only luai, where I'm not confident Galvin could carry the team on his own. In other words, I think luai makes Galvin better and is allowing him to do his random stuff.
