OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

The cowboys shout out as a Smokey is not a bad one ! Payten is a Moses client . And they desperately need a half to play next to Deardon . And are up shit creek with Robson moving on .
It wouldn’t surprise me. But I have heard it’s manly. Could be legacy talk because manly were the club behind the requests to leave last year . That’s where he was going . I dunno ..

I think, despite all things said publicly....
Galvin is incredibly jealous of Luai.

What he has achieved.
His relationship with the coach.
How he was brought to the club to be THE MAN.

Galvin wants to be the man.
He will never be that guy if Luai is around.

He was probably happy to have Sezar, Sullivan or Latu... so he can overshadow them. However that isn't happening.

Galvin has looked poor even when we're looking good. This year. He's been exposed.

He won't admit it. Rather make 100 other random nonsense excuses instead of speaking the truth.
You just may have hit that hidden truth nerve. I want to be "THE MAN".

If he tanks, he can play in the Group 6 comp. And if he skips training, he gets fined!
We can’t drop him any lower than NSW Cup otherwise he can ask for a release and the RLPA can get involved. It’s in the latest RLPA agreement. We’d then lose bargaining power in getting someone in return. Ridiculous I know.

I've said it before....

Galvin is Wade Graham Version 2

You don't pay that kind of player $1m per season.
I saw a comparison to young Jackson Hastings … and I thought shit …. That’s not inaccurate at all . Imagine Jackson Hastings came into 1st grade in the worst team in the comp . I guarantee he would have had the same hype … calling it now Galvin will be man of steel for Wigan in 4 years lol

Looking at his and his father's statement, very easy to see why the kid is such a tosser, apple doesn't fall far from the tree. My issue is why they never addressed the problem of him, his father or manager burning the joint on the way out and disrespecting the guys who got him where he is
Always look on the bright side. It's called instant culture building. Could can not buy it.
This is the incentive to get WT into the top 8.
All on the bus! The silver lining we have been waiting for!

If he tanks, he can play in the Group 6 comp. And if he skips training, he gets fined!
If we drop him below KOE we must give him an immediate release if he requests one. This is what was agreed to in the recent negotiations. The RLPA pushed for this to protect players in this situation. So if we drop Galvin below KOE he will get an immediate release which is exactly what he and his manager want. We would end up with nothing except for a bit of salary cap space.

I don’t think it will be penrith, Talagi has been awful but realistically he’s only played 2 games & 19 years old. He has got huge potential that I think they will want around long term

Based on the reactions of the senior players, I think it's pretty clear that Galvin isn't the most likeable teammate and obviously has rubbed people up the wrong way.

This isn't just a reaction from the events of the last few days, it's obvious that it's been brewing for a while.

A lot of things now make sense.

OK. There's an elephant in this room that needs to be let out.
This is going to sound like sour grapes, and maybe a little of it is . . . but here goes:
Right here, right now, he just ain't as good as he thinks he is.
He ain't nowhere near as good as the media beat him up to be.
He might be in the future, but I once thought I might grow to 6ft tall when I was a kid. Don't even ask how that turned out for me 🤣
He might turn into a good player, but he ain't showing shit in terms of a superstar. Fittler, SBW et al ALL were playing consistent high level at his age and NRL experience.
They weren't slow. Or average defenders. Rarely made the wrong attacking decision. They weren't ball hogs. They didn't piss about wasting tackles by running across the field, or even worse, in circles.
He makes a lot of poor decisions during the game. Sure, he's a kid and he has talent . . . . but that's it.
he won't be in the halves for much longer, so he should really hope he bulks up . . . coz he'll get folded as a ball running lock.
If he does 9 good things during a game, he also does 6 or 7 crap things.
I'm sure Benji has been walking on egg shells so this kid doesn't get offended by having to play second fiddle to JL. You know, the bloke who's just come off 4 comps. I still think that Benji has told JL to hold back, and push it towards LG more.
We all said that Gal overplays his hand. Maybe we were too polite to also say he's a poor defender.
And that he's slow. And that he makes very poor decisions. And he crabs across field. And he's a hog. We might not have readily said that stuff because we were swept up in the gushing and glowing media appraisals of Galvin . . . and we got lulled into thinking we are getting the world's best player.
Well, now that he has shown us exactly what he thinks of our club and it's head coach . . . we don't need to protect his fragile ego any longer.
I see the reality of so many of his flaws . . . sure, they might disappear in 2, 4, 7 years . . . but right here, right now, all I hear is an elephant escaping this room.
Well written! Plenty of home truths on display for everyone to reflect back on.
A lot of the Galvin myths bought into the open and not glossed over.

. But I have heard it’s manly. Could be legacy talk because manly were the club behind the requests to leave last year . That’s where he was going . I dunno ..
is that a bit of mail or just your opinion mate? Paul Kent seemed pretty certain he’d be a Parra on his podcast earlier

Wasn’t Tumeth playing Ron Massey recently? He’s Top 30.

I think you can drop them wherever you want. Galvin probably still eligible for juniors if we want to bring him back to reality a little further.

The biggest problem I can see is him getting himself sacked or just not turning up. Eg. Molo. Then we lose a pawn for a decent swap deal.

Not sure what the rules are if he quits/purposely gets sacked - whether the NRL will kick him out of the game until his contract was up or whether he can just forfeit his money here and sign elsewhere.

We can’t drop him any lower than NSW Cup otherwise he can ask for a release and the RLPA can get involved. It’s in the latest RLPA agreement. We’d then lose bargaining power in getting someone in return. Ridiculous I know.
