Getting harder each week for the PR department to come up with fluff that has a positive message. Like many others I was up beat at the start of the season, did not really expect a top eight position, but thought we would get close and see lots of improvement. Well sadly we have gone backwards and that reflects on the whole football operation,coaches,players..the lot

Its going to be a long slow climb out of the cellar for us and maybe it will never happen

I can really see the forum melting at 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon to the point where the admin have to take if offline and do maintenance to get it back to normal. As confident as i am we will win, it also wouldn't surprise me if we turn up our toes and not even have a go. In that case, as much respect as i have for Rowdy, i honestly love the guy, but i would come back to this thread and ask him where's his personal pride? Because no disrespect to the Knights, they are a rabble, a group 6 side, and while we're not anything to brag about, we are a level above them. Every team in the comp is. So to lose to them, you have to question the pride a team must have in their jumper, or lack thereof.

Rowdy always has bit more substance in his words that the traditional media one liners. It always sounds like he means what he says… which is refreshing.

If it was an honest assessment he would say that the coach is clueless, there are players in first grade who are not putting in and that there are several guys who should be dropped. Another tedious, predictable player comment but at least Lawrence can express himself well.

seriously though, we're not better than this. we really arent. even if we ran a little harder, tackled harder and just tried harder in general, we'd still be in the same position.

our wins and close losses have come against sides who have either played their worst game of the season (rabbits/storm) or struggled for combos (manly and warriors).
the losses against titans, dogs, raiders and knights were just plain embarrassing.

we've bought a lot of 5/10 players (melbourne style) and hoped we could convert them into at least 7/10 but some have either regressed and some have stayed the same. no player has improved from last year or from potter years.

the worst bit is, we've only played one game without teddy in the last year and a half and we're still struggling this bad. all the young guys with experience may turn out to be decent and good first graders in the future, but right now, they lack the skill and talent to make an impact.
