To anyone who doubted him should eat they're words… he was fantastic tonight with 2 early tries ... !!

Two strong tries but also a few defensive lapse. Ill support him to the bitter end and I hope tonight was him heading in the right direction,

He was good,

I don't think him not scoring or making busts has been all on him. The team needs to give him some opportunities.

I don't think anyone would deny he had a good game tonight but it doesn't stop him being poor the first 2 weeks. Hopefully this is a turning point, he ran some good lines but as above he still seems a bit panicky in defence. Credit where credit is due though - well done Chris.

I will gladly eat my words, and go back for seconds if he continues this sort of stuff. It made me sick calling for him to be dropped, but he responded the way champions do.

Not that tonight was Origin standard by any means, but definitely glimpses of what we know he is capable of.

He looked interested tonight. He got plenty of good ball and ran hard. It was much more like the Lawrence we use to see every game.

Played good smart attack on the line,
But defence he is slow and tight

Great game but Sandow got a beauty back on him and really shows how far his defense has gone backwards since the devastating hip injury.

Would love to see the guy regain his full pace. He was one of the best.

I think tonight will help his confidence and help him get back to form. Definitely not his best but that standard is very high. Certainly a positive step for him and something to build on.

Al , he ran over the top of a halfback twice ,his defence was better though

Some good signs , but he isn't back

It may have looked like a simple catch and fall over the line scenario but his timing and instincts tonight were spot on for those two tries. Read what was in front of him and adjusted accordingly. Looking forward to seeing him in some space as he's looked cramped in the first few weeks

Definitely his best game in awhile, but he's capable of better. Whether he can get back to the same form he was in during 2010/2011 remains to be seen, but if he gets some clean ball and works on his defensive positioning, he'll certainly have a decent season.

He's still wearing a truckload of strapping on his left shoulder so I do suspect he requires an operation but is simply playing on through the injury.

Totally agree. Good tonight but we expect better from him. he hit Sandow twice for 2 tries. Where was the other 70 mins. But hope he will get better each week.
