Leichhardt expensive grass

Hill at Leichardt is great and $30 isn't bad value - especially as thats the gate price - so you get it cheaper as a member or pre purchased. $6 for a beer is a fairly standard price in the city even cheap really and leichardt is virtually the city these days . Food prices are fiarly standard too - its what you pay at any kind of event. I must not be the only one who thinks so either as their were 18k on a Monday night

Your joking on the HILL side we have a old trough with no lights ….leaks all over the place standing in wee and up on the hill old cisterns leak everywhere no toilet paper half way through the game and toilets that dont flush and its nothing to do with the size of the cisterns. The portable toilet n the hill needs ventalation desprately

I admit like everywhere theres pigs but they are bad and i can assure you they have made no improvements to them since i was a kid in the early 70s.

Yep better conditions in Calcutta…third world standard really

They should never change L.O. in my opinion…the fact its stuck in the dark ages(especially during night games) is what makes it such a great place to watch footy!

Mate im a old balmain supporter myself and love the place im not asking them to change anything….its making basic improvements to the place/Basic ammenities thats all its no good for the kids and i have 3 of them.noyce a few years back promised me it would get done...it didnt.

The good thing about leichhardt is we only play 4 games a year there. If we played 12 there the novelty of standing for 90min, queuing for a beer and a leak would soon wear off. It's a good mix with sfs and ct at the moment something for everyone.

And Why…. for the love of God there is NEVER any Soap?

its quite simple peoples we all know the conditions at leichhardt, where you choose to sit is ultimately your business but the conditions are far better on the grandstand side and to be frank I've been going to leichhardt for over 30yrs and I can count the time ive used the amneties on one hand. I would rather wait till I got home to be honest.

It aint a surprise at the end of the day you do have a choice really you can stay at home and watch it on tv or put up with whats on offer, cant see things changing in the short to medium term. Now we all know why we take games away from the old girl its a shame really cause its a fortress and the atmosphere can be electric

tigers05 nobody on here has said take any games away from leichhardt the thread started about it been to expensive which for a person with no kids i dont agree with but for me it does get a bit pricey but i still go where time and finances permit.i didnt start the thread but commented on the toilets been something they should fix.

You and i may be able to hold out but i have 3 kids and they cant hold they go at any time so maybe keep that in mind and i live at blacktown so it a bit of travel.

And what side you sit shouldnt matter its a sporting venue and they should spend some dollars on getting it fixed its chicken feed.I realise the council own it but we are the tenants so its either up to us to pay to get it fixed or get the owner (THE COUNCIL) to fix it.

As for the toilets on the nth side of the field - it would also be pretty cool to walk down the grotty stairs into a cave (which should be preserved as they are historical and part of the atmos) - that has totally been kitted out with tv screens like the porto loo from the movie - Kenny.

U can watch the many multiple replays while the video ref does - as your relieving yourself.. Perfect.

And these toilets should be official re-named to honor the great Glenn Morrison.

Also how much would it cost to replace the timber slat seats with plastic seats around the rest of the concourse area?

Agree that it should be fixed but it hasnt and wont be so then it comes back to if you gonna go make sure you sit in the right area, watch it at home or put up with it.When my kids were young we would sit behind the posts on the grands stand end so they could use the better toilets or if finances wouldnt allow we stayed at home

In regards to price what isnt expensive these days? We all pay because we love our team watching them, otherwise we would stay at home, when I cannot afford it I dont go simple as that.

PS I also live in the Blacktown area and if my kids needed to go to the toilet on the way home I'd stop at a servo so they could go, didnt realise you'd make your kids wait till they got home but each to their own I guess

Well if you agree then whats the problem…...and finances are ok for me to sit on the other side but the kids love the hill side which is why i sit there and you know old habits die hard.35 years of sitting there can you relate.

Mate you love twisting things around.... i dont need you telling me how expensive things are and not once did i say it was to expensive.

Who said i make my kids wait till they get home..didnt i say they go to the toilet at the ground which is why im saying they should do it up a bit... gees this is hard.

Its a topic aboot leichhardt and for the 3rd time i didnt have a problem with prices i suggested the only problem is ammenities that is all you obvioulsy miss understood.

Dont be a smart a.. about it either.Gees read properly before commenting.

I have the right to my opinion there tiger4ever no need for name calling it only highlights your inability to debate your point and importantly I agree with innsaneink you really do need to learn how to use the preview button it would make it easier on everyone if they new what you were trying to highlght and importantly the point you are trying to make

Yes but you didnt have a opinion you were twisting it around commenting on things i wasnt saying.

Oh so i make one mistake and you want to resort to that …..and that also highlights something.

If you read it properly earlier and stop putting your own little twist on it i wouldnt have had to repeat myself.

You should have got my point way before then.

The only thing i said is they need to update the basic facilities then you come along like king tutt and suggested take it or dont go or sit on the other side etc,.

Where did i call your names anyway......there you go again

At the last AGM Humphreys said to me that they were looking to replace the seats with plastic ones. I said at the time that we would lose capacity and potential income. He advised the ticket cost would be dearer and therefore revenue would not be affected.

tiger4ever if you dont know what name calling is only highlights your lack of respect for others opinions, ultimately IMO the only twisting is coming from you when you sit behind your pc reading responses that you do not like, so be mature now and lets agree to disagree and go the TIGERS regardless where they play

Look at the thread and comments.

I said fix the toilets you said you agreed but then said the obvious it wont be done…..well we know that.... I will still go but i think they should fix the basic things and this is one of them.

Wouldn't that be the responsibility of the council, not Wests Tigers?
