Do they announce Toyota Cup player of the year at the GF luncheon too? I'd say Lui would get it but he's had some stiff competition from Mullaney, Fifita and Dwyer

Apparently they have annouced that C Payne is leaving the club and J Lima is coming back and has signed. Also Laffranchi might be coming back to the club.

I just want to know where are we suddenly getting all this money from? Usually we never sign players due to restrictions in the salary cap and with robbie and benji probably increasing the size of their contracts last year its a real surprise if we sign laffaranchi!!

I think the Player of the Year winner gets excluded from it. Ive always found that a little odd, but its usually the case. Pretty happy with how the awards went, all very deserving.

We got rid of alot of guys getting paid alot and signed some minimum wage contract guys like Daniela, Brown etc. According to most people on here, John Morris was on a hefty contract, same with Payne. No doubt alot of Collis's wage has been pointless as he's probably played less than 50% of games in the last 2 seasons. It's pretty obvious Benji and Farah got pay rises, but I think it's warranted. Maybe the Tigers have signed some creative accountants?

Back on topic, congratulations to John Morris who was again awarded the Iron Man award for his 3rd year running at the club. Fair few players last 3 seasons without missing a game. You'd think it's coz they mightn't give 100%, but with Morris you always knew he'd give 110% out there.

Another congratulations to Blake Ayshford too. Let's hope he can follow in last year's Rookie of the Year and have a great follow up season like Moltzen did this year.
