Why are threads locked so quickly, just because a player we are discussing signs with another club, why does the discussion need to end?
Theres not many threads going atm….locking threads at this time of year unless its absolutely necessary seems as bit rash

Perhaps instead of the thread being locked it should be moved to another section for further discussion. I'll mention it to the other mods/ admin

I'd have to agree. I can understand when players sign elsewhere the threads should be taken out of the contract section for WT but surely they can be moved to the NRL part and die a natural death?

Probably because posts 5 and 6 in this thread already went off topic which illustrates how easy people start talking about something entirely different. It's being discussed among the moderators at the moment, if the majority don't mind then the threads will be moved elsewhere where they can die a natural death.

I dont see why going off topic is a bad thing. Especially if it flows that way.
And yes agree too many threads are needlessly locked

Because it detracts from the original intent of the thread and generally results in spam.

I do think the moderators do a great job but tend to agree that threads are locked to quickly and i as well do not really see a problem with going off topic at times.

But you do that too here sparts….in the sections ( General, NRL etc) Im suggesting these locked threads can be moved and discussion continued.

Yes my friend, but we shouldn't be dedicating our precious pages discuss the detailed recruitment of rival clubs imo.
