Lulia vs Lawrence

Simona is the fittest and coming off the best 2013 season, he'd be my first pick at left centre. Lawrence is down on his pace and there's no point compromising both left and right centre for the sake of keeping Rowdy on the left. That said, I have little faith in Lulia, he's shown bugger all in my opinion so far. In any case, he'll have at least another week to prove himself while Lawrence is on the mend.

I think its safe to say Simona will be sacrificed once Rowdy is back, unless Pottsy wants to punt Richards and move Simona to the Wing?

Simona is now above Chris Lawrence in pecking order.

yep, keep dreaming!

Have nice memories of Lawrence leaving Billy the Kid for dust at L.O in the rain years ago.
Yeah, younger uninjured Lawrence _**was**_ a gun player…but not anymore.

I haven't seen much from Lawrence since his injury and his decision making in defence at times last year was not great.
Simona is way above Lawrence and we need Simona in the team more than we do Lawrence.

It all should depend on how Lulia plays this weekend but it won't when Lawrence comes back he will replace Lulia.

I haven't seen much from Lulia that would have him in the backline over Lawrence or any of our younger guys like Nofo/Simona etc.

Our strongest backline is

1\. Teddy
2\. Nofa
3\. Simona
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards

However Lawrence has shown nothing in last two seasons due to injury and form. I'd almost consider shifting Richards or Nofa in and bringing in Koro on the wing (provided he learns how to tackle). It's really disappointing Richards is 32\. I would love to have this backline for the next 5-10 years

I'm still puzzled why we had to sign Lulia.
I thought Reddy was doing a decent job.

And on top of all that we had talent coming from reggies. Big T for one.

I understand Blake Austin being signed.
Anywho, when fully fit i'd pick rowdy any day

I agree.
Reddy afaik wasn't offered a contract by souths until late last year. We would've at least had a decent right side centre with reddy.

One of the Mayer potter decisions I don't agree with.

Unfortunately I cant see Rowdy ever returning to his previous best. Around R4 last year i was screaming for Simona to get a run. Imo he proved better than i thought and i feel he can be as good as Rowdy's best. I really think he has more to his game (fend, step, kicking game).

Hard to judge Luila from what i've seen. Richards has so far been better than I expected.

Personally i'd like to see towards the end of the season and into next year.
1\. Teddy
2\. Korro - but he does need more time in state cup to work on his defense
3\. Nofa
4\. Simona
5\. Richards

Lulia has been very ordinary so far. Just looks out of place/position most of the time. Then when he gets the ball there's an element if surprise on his face that he's got it.

I would persevere with Chris …. I'm not convinced his career is over .... I'm confident he can come back to good form.

I reckon he can come good for us as well. I'd play him and Nofo on the right and Simona and Richards on the left.
