What happened to Nathan Brown ?
It looked like a serious injury yet no information that i can see from the club today.

Torn pectoral I believe.

Not sure what severity it is, he did try to continue on for about 2 minutes.

If it was a complete tear, he would have been straight off.

If its a pec he'd be out until the beginning of next season. Hopefully it's not too serious and he's only out up until Christmas at worst!

6 months best case if its a full tear That would have him probably missing the first 4-6 weeks while getting some fitness and run in his legs

What…I knew it looked bad. Another pec injury at this club on top of how many acl injury's.
What the hell is going on.
Why doesn't this happen at other clubs ? That's terrible news..someone needs to be accountable for all these serious injuries.

Just read on the tigers web page brown gone for the season, and the other frontrower andy fag???? looks like been out as well. there goes the 20s chance of back to back titles.

I wonder if jarrad Szczudlo, is able to come into contention,

He was meant to be starting this year with brown, killed trials, and did his knee.

I read that he came back from injury round 25?

He is massive, not sure if he is eligible? But some size would be a nice addition losing 2 front rowers.

Pec injuries do happen at other clubs - many

True ink; such an alarmist reaction in here sometimes. People should do a bit of research before they shoot off at the mouth.

Here is 15 minutes' work:

2011 - Jason King, Glen Buttriss, David Shillington, Jarrod Mullen, Timana Tahu, Joel Reddy, Antonio Winterstein, Cameron Ciraldo, Geoff Daniela, Roy Asotasi, Scott Geddes, Stuart Fielden (UK), Chev Walker (UK), Kylie Leuluai (UK)
2012 - Ben Smith, Beau Falloon, Ben Jones, Mitch Rein, Greg Bird, Roy Asotasi (again), Scott Geddes (again), Adrian Purtell (UK), SBW (rugby)
2013 - Glen Fisiiahi, Lachlan Coote, Matt Cooper, Dayne Weston, Ben Galea (UK), Josh Perry (UK), Jamie Foster (UK), Reece Lyne (UK)

Modern day athletes tend to do some much more strength and conditioning in comparison to yester year that any slight tweak or un-natural movement tends to result in an injury. It's quite alarming to see all the pec injuries that have happened in the past few years. Unfortunate for browny, went to school with him he was a small kid as a younger teen played in the backline throughout high school, he's put on alot of beef over the past few years and probably a lot of hours in the gym as well

Wests Tigers injury update

The latest Wests Tigers injury news, brought to you by Velbexx-17.

Wests Tigers' NYC finals campaign has suffered a serious blow coming out of the golden point victory over Brisbane with front rowers Nathan Brown and Andy Fiagatusa ruled out for the season.

Nathan Brown suffered a ruptured pectoral muscle and faces up to 6 months on the sideline. He will have surgery this week.

Andy Fiagatusa will have further scans after suffering a suspected fracture to his scapula (shoulder blade). Fiagatusa bravely played on during the win over Brisbane, making a crucial tackle to keep the game alive in the dying stages of normal time.

Leading into the NRL off-season, two key youngsters will have surgery to repair existing injuries.

Tim Simona will have an arthroscopic shoulder reconstruction. He'll miss 6 months.

Curtis Sironen will have minor groin surgery. The second rower is likely to be ready for training at the beginning of the pre-season.

And some people should learn to read before displaying their lack of intelligence.

Wests Tigers Pec and ACL injuries in the last 18months with no research.
Pec injuries - Mosese Fotuaika, Keith Galloway and Nathan Brown
ACL injuries Tim Moltzen, James Tedesco, Mason Farrell, James Luff and Jarrad Szczudlo

Go do some more research and get back to me with what clubs have had more of these serious injuries than the Wests Tigers.

Sorry I can't understand what you are saying, apparently I am both dumb and unable to read.

On the other hand, I already showed you Rabbits copping repeat pec injuries to two players in 2011-2 (that makes 4 by the way). 5 x Dragons, 5 x Eels, 4 x Warriors players had season-ending knee injuries 2013 alone.

Nuffies like you think that a scapegoat is required just because there is a freak run of incidents. As if the club doesn't already employ highly qualified and experienced professionals and utilise elite-level training and physical preparation regimes.

Perhaps Broncos are to blame because Hodges has dodgy hammies/achilles. Or Dragons with Chase Stanley's continual knee issues.
