New signings. Who are they?

According to the paper this morning we have signed the following players.

Anyone know anything about them?

Matt Evans (Souths), Tegele Naiyarvoro (NZ), Evander Waitoa (Wellington) and Ratu Tagive (Bulldogs).

I know Tagive, however the others are unknown.

The news on this front has been very quiet could it be there is not much money to spend under the cap?

I think this is a combo of $$$ and the targeted spending of it and the fact that Coach Sheens is away on Aussie duties.

The 3 Marquees in 3 years comments still resonates and I believe Coach sheens is not one to make flippant comments.

Ps We got some top notch players that would be Marquees in other teams Like Farah, Marshall, Lote, Lawrence, Ellis to name a few.

I don't mind if we don't sign any big name players for next year, as long as we are topping up the contracts of Fifita and Murdoch

Matt Evans played SG Ball for Souths this year and was their leading try scorer and voted best back for them. He'll be in the Tigers NYC next year. Evander Waitoa is another junior who will push to play in the Tigers NYC team, he played in the under 18's for Wellington against Keebra Park recently.

The Club seems to be building really nicely…

Secretly I'm Praying that the English Grahams bloke finds his way into our colours

Really happy with the squad....

It was never 'Marquee signings'..the quote was to recruit rep quality players or don't bother..More over we have developed one of our own in Chris Lawrence..oddly off contract the same time as Sheens…

Most of these new blokes are young with a view of the future..'Fiji Ratu' has big raps on him and was being looked at by a few clubs......for some reason the want to come to the Wests Tigers..I think that we will have at least 8 Australian Schoolboys eligible for the 20's next season...dunno if that counts for much but it can't be a bad thing....

If the room is there for a quality First Grade rep standard player and 1 becomes available...It will be a PROP...

Dare I say...Mystery Prop?????

"Matt Evans (U/18 SG Ball)Very versatile player, can play anywhere in the backline and at lock, has good pace off the mark"

From my discussion with Humphreys at the GF luncheon we **WILL NOT** be making any big name signings for 2011.

Why would Souths let this guy go??

They have a very strong NYC outfit and the current centres might be eligible to play again next year. It might be a case that Evans will get a better go at the Tigers. At least one of the centre spots is up for grabs, if not both.

I was told that Matt suffered a shoulder injury or the like and Souths showed little interest, Grant Jones has had his eye on him for some time and jumped at the chance to sign him up when he became available,

Having 8 of Australia's best junior schoolboys in the one team counts for a lot ..How did we do that and How do we keep them ?….In 2011 Curtis Sironen will almost certainly make it 9 Australian schoolboys all under 20.

There must be some good accounting going on to fit all these players under the $250,000 NYC salary cap.......with most of the under 20's starting pack backing up again next year and the signing of Jacob Miller and Ratu Tagive plus these other 3 blokes........Maybe they are just playing for the love of the game ?

According to the Sunday Telegraph we haven't signed anybody or let anyone go….....another example of thorough investigation by the sports journos.

I keep hearing that we've signed Jacob Miller but there's never any confirmation - is this all a giant furphy or is the kid not considered worthy of an announcement. Having seen him play I know the latter is unlikely.
