Newcastle are having the season from hell, and their marketing department is just about as dismal as their on-field performance if this tweet is anything to go by.

The Knights tweeted at their fans on Sunday to,” Get (their) cup of free water from the Fan Zone,” at their game at Hunter Stadium.

While it’s a pretty enticing deal, the Knights may want to offer something a little less accessible than drinking water - maybe a win?

They could of at least offered a "Danny Wicks Deal" where you got water AND bread. Maybe a soap on a rope as a bonus?

True, it does show how dedicated the Newcastle supporters are. It probably also reflects just as strongly on the fact that there is bugger-all else to do on a weekend in that town.
Free water is a massive pull.
