Not finding touch from a penalty

Is there a single other team in the comp that does this on such a regular basis?

Parramatta did it twice last Monday night against Canberra, but I can't think of another team who constantly fails at such a basic task?

Honestly, how fing hard is it??

our all round kicking is awful.
can't kick goals
when we do find touch from a penalty we are lucky to make 20 yards and general kicking is one good result every 10 or so kicks.

Agreed on all counts.

I have to say from what I've seen so far, Lui is our best option for general play kicking.

Our penalty touch finders are absolutely pathetic, often the touchie has to run BACKWARDS because we've made only 5 or 10 metres.

I don't think there is another team as consistently bad as we are at this, makes me scream at the TV!

I think this is what should be looked at re: the next recruit, someone that can kick….allround kicking, goals, field position, attacking....

We put bombs up from 40 out that are always too deep and put them under no pressure, we always resort to the grubber close to the line, while they often are good we should vary it...though more accuracy with bombs close is needed, they dont seem confident to do it. Havent had a decent kicked since Prince

Is kicking for touch something you practice as a FGer or are you just expected to do it well? Pretty much every other club makes great yards from their kicks and always go out. We kick shallow and not always out.

At least our field goals have improved this year. We seem to know how to set ourselves up for them so we aren't under too much pressure.
