Tonight on 360 they had a 'scoop' commentator on called Dobbo who claimed Wests Tigers will be looking to shop one of their back rowers around because of salary cap issues. He claims the Titans will be ready to pounce. If true hope it isn't Taupau or Lawrence they are the two top liners that come to mind.
 
We are already Skint in that dept, cant afford to loose a player anymore

Seriously how bad can the Cap be,

Benji, fulton, ryan, lote, ellis, blair, richards, thompson, austin…. so many players have left in the last 5 years and we have an average team at best.....

Good ole "Scoop" he is the brother of "Lurker" who get their "inside" stories from our Forum…

if you believe them, then look under you pillow tomorrow morning, there might be a gold coin there!.

If a Lawrence transfer did occur then surely the club would be well in the black as far as the CAP is concerned. Enough to buy a very handy centre or second rower?

But the salary cap stuff isn't correct

The Titans want a new face of the club

They want Taupau to be the new face of the Titans

Hope he doesn't go Happy but if they offer him good money then he is gone.

It would be nice to know the true figures Newtown, our cap seems to be as long as a piece of string.
 
Cap conversions, take them with a grain of salt.

As for Marty, I wouldn't blame the guy for up and leaving. However, if we can pull some wins together in the last couple of rounds, he might think there is a winning future here, one he probably deserves.
 
He is under contract next year so we hold the ace. If we can release Lawrence and use some of the coin to upgrade and extend his contract we can make sure he stays. It might mean one more year of pain as we need cap space to buy more than one player however, if it means sining Marty of another 4 i'd be happy with that.
 
Let's not release a player considering we're already paying players to pay at rival clubs. Let's get our cap in order and pay what we use.

how come the more players we release the worst our cap becomes, 20 odd players by the end off this season AND we have signed 5 nobodys. yet we are still way over the cap, i think some one is telling porkies.
