NRL has stained the game of Rugby League....

Hey TT, I agree with many of the points you expressed in your post but my advice is to definitely not give the game away. Don't worry about the internal and external political rubbish surrounding the club. Things will settle down shortly irrespective as to whether Farah or Taylor stay/leave the club. If you lose your interest in the club now you will not be appreciating a great Wests Tigers revival which I believe will occur in the near future.

x 2 mate,
TT, there is no way you could just walk away mate.
can understand the REAL frustration about all the BS that is going on with the tigers and NRL but hang in there, things can only get better …... maybe.

Thanks Newtown,as I have thought many times after meeting you at the get together, you are a great person and a friend..the other people were just as nice and I think they are all fantastic human beings,if I stopped posting on the forum I would truly know that I met some incredible people who love life and the WTs…myself I have devoted a fair part of my life to Rugby League and to see the way it is going deeply hurts me as it was always a great game and a way of meeting terrific people with the same interest..I had the honour of playing for the Turvey Park Lions in Wagga Wagga, the home of the Mortimer boys,Steve "Turvey "Mortimer would have been one of the greatest defensive half backs the game ever produced, his brother Chris would cut the defense in half with a tackling technique rarely seen these days.Peter Stirling played with the Wagga Wagga Magpies and was the nemesis for Turvey Mortimer, both played for Australia.I was truly blessed to have associated with these people, the people that Rugby League grew with....To watch with embarrassment the way the game is going, with almost more officials than players and can't make an honest and correct call is disheartening....until the NRL can clean its act up,then I will watch the games from a distance and not involve myself with the juniors or anything rugby league on the same level I have done for years...it truly is woeful... :blah

TT I don't know why all of a sudden you've gone from the eternal Tiger optimist to wanting to throw in the towel.

TBH I don't why any Wests Tiger supporter would get upset with anything football? The way I see it we are all Tiger tragics.

We may have the odd few years in the top 8 but they will be few and far between. I'm a fly shite away from 60 years old and for the majority of that time my sides (Balmain & Wests Tigers) have been wannabee's. I suppose that's why I don't get too sentimental or emotional about my team. Maybe once in a while something will get me fired up. Not often.

I hope you stick solid mate

Agree with you TrueTiger.

Being followers of a team that perennially disappoints definitely adds to the pain.

And yes, the standard of refereeing is absolutely shocking. Basically common sense has been taken completely out of the equation.

How about how the NRL helps the Titans out and now they have the coin to sign gun players?

How about how the NRL turns a blind eye to the fact that certain teams clearly rort the cap? And they do.

But an exciting match can make you forget about all the bureaucracy and remind us of what a great game rugby league is. Shame that even though last night's match which WAS exciting was still marred by bogus refereeing and off-field drama. Crikey.

Anyway, if you want to be disgusted watch the Cowboys tonight. Something bad will probably happen. If not this week then next…...
