Calling all Die Hard Tiger Supporters

I would like to let all West Tiger supporters know that the OLD WEST TIGERS LEAGUES CLUB TIGER from the entrance off Victoria road is for sale on eBay under sports memorabilia item number 321148765909 I have been contacted by a Richmond AFL supporter who wants to buy it and take it to Melbourne It's part of the history of Balmain and would make a great focal point wherever it is placed. It should stay in Sydney the right hand side is perfect the left hand side missing you can either restore it or hang it up on a wall. It would look great behind a bar.

Quintus….Do you remember the old photo that used to be online (Cant find it now) an old Club President I guess, unsure who it was, outside the club with the lightbox Tiger sign & Vic Rd in the b/ground, bloke was wearing a straw type hat I think...very 60's

I can't remember that Ink but I've gazed upon that old tiger a hundred times and more. The tiger that that guy is trying to sell on e-bay? is the old "ESSO PUT A TIGER IN YOUR TANK" tiger. They were everywhere once. Do you remember every second car had a tiger tail dangling from their rear vision mirror. They got them for free from ESSO petrol stations. I think the kids used to make their parents hang them up even though they were not Balmain supporters. They had nothing to do with Balmain….
