Also just noticed that Russell Packer's contract with the Knights won't be registered with the NRL after last week drama's

A good dose of double standards by the NRL if Packer doesn't get registered yet cowards that beat the snot out of their missus like Inglis, Bird, Isaac Gordon etc are allowed in the NRL.

Yes he did. It was when he was in Melbourne. In fact one of the reasons he left Melbourne was because of that. Amongst other reasons.

Well…to be fair it is a new admin...and it looks like theyre taking a tougher stance

His barrister being paid by the club was part of the 3rd party rorts investigation in 2010.

She wasn't prepared to assist police investigations though.

Either there is more to the Packer story then originally thought or the new regime are setting the tone.

Will be interesting to see how it develops with Ferguson wanting to return as his actions are arguably on the more severe side of things.

Thats true. Will be interesting to see if anything happens in regards to the NRL re-investigating the Slater nightclub incident as well as reported on FoxSports a day or two ago. If there are no witnesses to the Packer incident surely the NRL can't refuse to register him, they will be heading to court if they do you would think.

Well if they reinvestigate the Slater incident , they might find who originally started all this malarkey

The original person wasn't Slater who either said something or did something to this bloke's girlfriend

interesting….

I may be getting confused with all the incidents lately, but I thought essentially Packer got in a knuckle and was not the instigator......if this is the case, not different to slater at all..

That said, cant fully recall the details of the packer incident.

I am yet to be convinced about the NRL Integrity Unit. So far it is no different than before except instead of the clubs keeping it in-house, the NRL now keeps it in-house.

There is talk that there was a string of disciplinary issues that lead to the Warriors releasing him. If this is true then I guess they are right for not registering his contract.
