NRL Scheduling

Just wanted to make a comment on this, but does anyone think we often cop the rough end of the stick when it comes to scheduling?

Next week we're playing the Warriors in NZ. They played last night, we don't play until Sunday.

They're at home and have a 10 day turnaround vs our 6 day turnaround.

It's not the be all end all, but I find we're often copping shorter turnarounds vs longer turnarounds for other teams and only very rarely will we have the turnaround advantage and even then, it's negligible like an 8 day v 7 day turnaround such as this week vs the Eels (which even then, we had to travel back from Tamworth anyway on a Sat night).

Blame the broadcasters, they have the final say in who plays when.

I think 10 days after a flogging for our opposition works well for us, most teams wanna get back out there as quick as possible to try and get back on track

As for the draw, It's rubbish, how teams play each other twice in 3/4/5 weeks is a joke

We also travel less tueb almost every other team (only Roosters travel less). We also only have 1 thursday night game and we get Easter Monday at the show.

So i think scheduling wise we get a much better deal then many

Having a quick look over our draw it looks to me as if most games we have a similar break to the opposition and we have a few games when we get a longer break 3-4 days and a few when they do but it looks pretty even to me.

The last couple of years I thought the schedule was alright, this year's been ridiculous. A home game in Auckland, a home game in Tamworth, having to wait til rd10 to get a Leichhardt game, then plauing that Thursday night with the short turnaround coming from New Zealand, with another Thursday night the following round in Penrith.

We have FOUR Thur nite games, first one in 2 weeks time
