Top 100 paid players in the NRL:

83. Nofa $525k
80. BJ $550k

Not sure of the accuracy but if anywhere near correct no wonder we are struggling. Half our cap on players that would struggle to get a 1st grade gig elsewhere.

The sharks and cowboys have some shockers in there, but we match them.

Can almost deal with Brooks' contract if he keeps up his form since magic round, but an 850k player shouldn't need the team restructured around him so he plays better.

Glad we're not paying all of Joffa's contract. Packer, BJ, Mbye - the less said the better, it will all be over in 18 months.

Nofa is overpaid, but at least he's a first grader and has some runs on the board.
 
Pretty sure they get the vast majority of their figures from the player agents.
In keeping with this there is no doubt some gravy on top of these numbers.
Still though, it articulates what seems to be an age old problem at WT.
Where (collectively) we get the worst value from our highest earners.
Reversing this and having our highest earners become our best, most influential and consistent performers will go along way to reversing the standard of mediocrity we exert on the field.
I have faith in Hartigan and Co to finally achieve this but man if it isn’t wearing thin to have seen this perpetuated over so many years.

Exactly the Dragons problem last year.
Good chance their 2 best players ‘McInnes’ ‘Frizzel’ was outside the top 5 for highest earners.
Their balance was all wrong.
 
gosh we have some massive overs at this club namely Packer and Joey L
Noffo money is ludicrous for a winger let alone a wing that can not tackle

God help us if that is true what a shocking Signing to make if those figure are correct.

I reckon he has been our best player this year but he isn't worth that much. He was also re-signed for like $500k. Doueihi is great but I can't see him being worth that amount. Nofo's salary is crazy. Joe O is worth half that.

Still assuming they've stuffed Brooks figures which I bet they have those figures are probably good for us. I mean we will release BJ and Packer this year. Mbye goes the year after. Hopefully we can get some better players in.
