I've watched a lot of nyc and since he came in last year have nothing to suggest Alofi is a decent fullback. Surely we have someone better?

Standouts for mine were JJ Felise, he is not the biggest front rower I've ever seen, but he's possibly the strongest, took 4-5 players to put him down on most occasions and the Eels are not small. Mason Cerruto is a better fullback than Alofi, but he certainly went well at centre, good speed, good strength and one to watch for the future. Liddle is pretty sharp out of dummyhalf, Woods was busy but needs to bulk up more if he's going to make it in FG. Karwhin looks promising, good physique and strong and he was pretty safe from what I saw, also scored a nice try down the touchline. Reckon this kid could be in FG in 2-3 years time if he continues to improve.

Agree with all of Willows post.
Now let's hope the big boys can make it 2 from 2 today.

Kharwin never got any ball all day, which was a bit criminal really. But we put 42 points on so can't be too upset but neither winger really touched the ball. He did well to finish the one time he got the ball, and he did well a few times to make some try saving tackles, and was solid under the high ball too. Once he fills out a bit he could be a bloody good winger. I'm sure we'll all be keeping tabs on him over the next few months to see how he develops.

JJ Felise runs hard and is very powerful. The test will be once he's playing against men and whether he can still use his build and aggression to be powerful against bigger men. Aranui always runs hard too.

It looks like Kimmorley is far from settled on his best line-up. Injury and suspension is making it hard in the backs, but the forwards are starting to settle now, and Woods should start at lock next week, although Cassel was also very good on his return.

Martin was pretty quiet bit did set up a try for Tatola and score one very late on too.
